I realized today that watching your videos is somehow therapeutic for me. Just listening to your narration and watching your work releases stress. It also gives me inspiration and ideas for projects around the house. Thank you!
I love the whole piece but the top is my favourite. I really enjoy your videos and the beautiful flippings. Once thing you do and find very useful are your tips and the diversity of products you use. You don't stick to the same ones all the time.
Yes, Angie has a friendly, soothing voice that is easy to listen to; it makes a huge difference, because some folks' voices make me want to shut the sound off.🥴
What a great game table. The parts I would never, ever miss: all those scallops - even the legs had scallops! Another exceptional job - you've made this a lovely piece for any home. 💜
You're so good at this. I watch a lot of these videos and I enjoy your restorations the most. You have a great eye for this and good woodworking chops! I like your easy going style of presentation (some other furniture flippers on UA-cam narrate their videos as if they have just painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel!) and you clearly aren't shilling product for any brands. I hope your subscriber count climbs as you deserve a much larger audience.
You are extremely talented. That piece is gorgeous. I appreciate that you don't have "all" the tools. You show us how to improvise with what we own. You are going to be a big success. Thank you for the education.
Even without a table saw, you can do a lot with a circular saw and a long straight edge as a cutting guide. I love how you work with the tools you have. Keep up the good work!
Not at all! I’ve spent quite literally hundreds and hundreds of hours over the last five years or so! Every time I was working on a piece, I’d be watching/learning. I still do! Still so much to learn!
I'm assuming that your saying that this wasn't a big project refers to the size of the piece, because this was a huge project as far as labor goes. Obviously a labor of love. Beautiful job! You definitely love what you do! Thanks for sharing.
Love it! Removing the scallops and changing the legs was a huge improvement. If it were mine I wouldn't let anyone use it for fear of ruining the finish and if anybody set a drink on it I would snatch them by the ear.
Great decision to remove the scalloped decorative edge; this really is a classy look - wasn't sure you were going to be able to pull off filling in those gaps between the chequer squares successfully, but again, great work. Really lovin' this piece.
Love this restoration! I really think that your work is worthy of recognition....you’re bringing something fresh to the table. Old school skills that some of the top furniture artists don’t have...Congratulations, I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work :)
Geez, every time I think I've seen what will be my favorite video, I go on to the next one of yours and say the exact same thing... "This is my favorite video!" This turned out beautifully! Love the choice of Black to pair the top and legs with. No clamps during this entire re-do. I find the inevitable glue and clamp scenarios very satisfying, haha. I can't remember what you were doing when I noticed this (maybe sanding?) but for whatever reason the piece was wobbling a bit as you went back and forth. I just kept thinking, "How can she stand that as she works?" Maybe you didn't even notice, but I wanted so much to offer a matchbook to stick under the short side, haha. Thanks for sharing another great vid! These are addictive!
Haha it’s my floor! It’s super uneven in the middle. I’m actually having an epoxy floor installed shortly that will even up that middle section so that things will stand flat! I’m so excited, haha!
I would love to get a find like that! I know the pandemic has caused board game sales to skyrocket but this would last forever! Love the tutorial and great color picks🤩💕
You turned this piece into a elegant addition to any home. The variations in the wood grain are really highlighted and offset by the black paint and odie's oil. Great job!
We had a little heart attack when there was no coaster under the wine glass in the reveal! You have an impeccable eye for color, and we are enjoying learning to trust your process.
Loved watching the whole project and love the handle you chose. The gold color you applied made it even more special. I would have liked to see a side by side, before and after shot.
I have been watching many videos of this nature and now I only watch yours. I like your clean way of working and your close attention to small details that many others don't bother with too much and you can really see the difference between the finish of their projects and yours. Good luck to you for everything you wish to achieve with your work.
Love it! We we were little we “helped” my Dad make a Chess board table for Mom for Mothers day, my Dad didn’t have the tools or skill then to do inlays so we used stick on vinyl. We were so proud of it and learned to play chess on it. Thank you for reminding me of it. I have a number of pieces of furniture he made me a pieces he carved for me. They keep him close now that he is gone. I just found your channel and am enjoying your videos, and finding it surprising that I am really liking the mix of wood and paint!
Thank you for this tutorial and also not jumping on the band wagon and using chalk paint. I like doing things old school and enjoy watching others do jobs properly
Just "bumped into" your channel! I think you are one of the very very few people with actual taste and a keen eye for aesthetics on UA-cam! My only "problem" (pet peeve, OCD...) is that you don't paint the inside of the furniture and the drawers! I get that most people don't and it's cost and time consuming for you but that is a major factor for me when I'm looking to buy a piece of furniture! Again, though... Great, GREAT style!
I love love love this little table! You do really well with what you have to work with - getting started building up your stash of tools is a really slow process! I hope your UA-cam channel takes off in a big way!
So happy you removed the scallop trim - all I could think of is sitting down to play and nailing my knee on that trim !
Love the table’s new look ❣️
You are so welcome!
I realized today that watching your videos is somehow therapeutic for me. Just listening to your narration and watching your work releases stress. It also gives me inspiration and ideas for projects around the house. Thank you!
You're most welcome! I'm so glad you're enjoying them. Thanks so much for watching!
You need your own series on HGTV. Amazing work.
I love the whole piece but the top is my favourite. I really enjoy your videos and the beautiful flippings. Once thing you do and find very useful are your tips and the diversity of products you use. You don't stick to the same ones all the time.
Thank you so much Maria!
Absolutely beautiful. You're very talented. At the risk of sounding weird, I love your voice too! I find your videos relaxing. Tfs.X
Jo Thomas, I totally agree with you on her voice. It's very relaxing. Angie should do voice overs.
Agreed
yeah same, i love her videos
Yes, Angie has a friendly, soothing voice that is easy to listen to; it makes a huge difference, because some folks' voices make me want to shut the sound off.🥴
Ditto
I love that you saved the checkerboard. 😊💝
Ooooo. Renovating a hand-made jewel in the rough. What a great project!!
My favorite part is always your commentary!
My favorite part? The whole video! Great job!
It’s so cute when you partner/wife comes in to give you a hand, xxx hi from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
What a great game table. The parts I would never, ever miss: all those scallops - even the legs had scallops! Another exceptional job - you've made this a lovely piece for any home. 💜
You make me look at my furniture in a whole new light.
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!
So much better than the way it looked when you brought it home!! Love the chess set, too.
I love how you always use the original handles etc👌lots of people change them.Love to keep original
You're so good at this. I watch a lot of these videos and I enjoy your restorations the most. You have a great eye for this and good woodworking chops! oh my gosh! thank you so much!!
It now looks a million times better!
Getting addicted to watching these awesome transformations. It's somehow soothing. Is that weird?
Not at all! I’ve spent quite literally hundreds and hundreds of hours over the last five years or so! Every time I was working on a piece, I’d be watching/learning. I still do! Still so much to learn!
No not weird, cause I'm addicted too, just sorry I've watched them all now, looking forward to loads more 🙂
Those legs suit the piece far more than the originals! Great choice.
You took that tired old game top and made the wood SING! Nice work!
Thank you so much! 😊
Of course I enjoyed it 👍👍👍❤
This turned out great! - Something different…it’s gorgeous! Great job!
What a beautiful piece. The grain is just phenomenal! And against the dark paint? Superb choice. You've done it again. Not that I'm at all surprised.
I'm assuming that your saying that this wasn't a big project refers to the size of the piece, because this was a huge project as far as labor goes. Obviously a labor of love. Beautiful job! You definitely love what you do! Thanks for sharing.
This is SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! BEAUTIFULLY DONE! 😍
Well Angie, i think you are a magician…….the legs just “lift” the piece to the next level 👏👏👏
Nicely done! I like that you just get to it, no muss, no fuss.
That top is gorgeous and I Iove the new legs.
This table has never looked so good. 🐇🐇🐇
I truly respect your ability to see the potential in something that many others would walk right past. Another fabulous transformation!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow that turned out really beautiful. I like the staging crystals too 😉😍
Love how the top turned out! Well Done! 🌈
Lovely modern restoration of such a unique piece
The top is the star and you made it shine!
Fantastic save on the game top. I would have liked the drawer front stained if possible. Love her legs. Another great save. Total transformation.
Typically not a fan of paint on wood, but you may have changed my mind. This look great!
Wow. Such a change!
This table is gorgeous! I love all the wood tones with black. SO pretty.
Love how piece turned out. The crystal chess pieces were cool too. You are very talented.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful transformation ! You rock!
Wow this came out great nice to see the out of sight bits painted too attention to detail lifts it to another level
Love it! Removing the scallops and changing the legs was a huge improvement. If it were mine I wouldn't let anyone use it for fear of ruining the finish and if anybody set a drink on it I would snatch them by the ear.
I'm a BIG fan of coasters. 😉
I love the end result. Great job choosing colors and the finish is wonderful
I'm so glad you like how it turned out!
i'd love to hear what you buy and sell your pieces for!
Me too
Likewise!
We all definitely would like to hear more about the business side of this amazing work.
@@jaydoe3707 For real. I'm thinking about doing this but it could never afford it just as a hobby.
Ditto...! 😁
I'm impressed and I don't impress easily.TALENT
What a great transformation. Nicely done, as usual.
Thank you! 😊
Great decision to remove the scalloped decorative edge; this really is a classy look - wasn't sure you were going to be able to pull off filling in those gaps between the chequer squares successfully, but again, great work. Really lovin' this piece.
I think you took a table with potential and made it 100 times better. Love the top with that stain

This is my favorite that you've done! Nice work!

Wine well deserved 💪🏼 neat neat neat little piece
You turned this piece into a elegant addition to any home. The variations in the wood grain are really highlighted and offset by the black paint and odie's oil. Great job!
Many thanks! 😊
I saw the wine glass used for staging and immediately heard your voice saying, “Use your coasters, people!”. Lol!
Like woah. You are really good at this. I love how all of your pieces turn out.
Amazing wood grains....beautiful....you do really nice work.
We had a little heart attack when there was no coaster under the wine glass in the reveal! You have an impeccable eye for color, and we are enjoying learning to trust your process.
