@InFlamesHeavier there is a heavy hint with "this is not a love song", tho. But for most this might go the way of Sprinsteen's Born in the USA. Just ignore the intended meaning and see every mention of "USA" as praise.
@InFlamesHeavier Sorry buddy, but it won't be misunderstood. To real fans anyways. I live in America, and I know exactly what this song is about. And frankly I agree with them. I hope they do play this (they said they didn't want to play it on the LIFAD tour because they didn't want to offend American audiences) I for one won't be offended This song jabs at corporatism, commercialism, and the fact that America puts its nose where it doesn't belong. So, I will happily sing along.
i didnt really think of te song as an insult. it's about globalization, which i dont see as a bad thing. plus at the american concert they left out 'this is not a love song' so yeah :). dont eat mcdonalds if you dont like amerika so much :P
This is the reason why there is no world peace. People keep arguing and call each other names and talk shit about eachothers countries.. Just shut the fuck up and enjoy some awesome german music!! ;)
its true, everyone IS living in america. your societies are saturated with our culture, our values, and our products. and america is filled with yours too! but guess what? the world is better off for it! no two countries both with a mcdonalds have EVER gone to war. and they wont, either. you know why? because of economic globalization, countries have too much fiancial stake in each other to risk war. american capitalism will be the cause of world peace. youre welcome! :)

@InFlamesHeavier More funny when you're a american fan. You get the song. But you sing along anyway because it's hilarious.
