- HMC has introduced mechanised cleaning of manholes and sewerage lines in its Serilingampally zone, by pressing robotic machinery into service.
Raheja Group has sponsored the machinery costing ₹32 lakh, by spending from its its Corporate Social Responsibility fund. Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan inaugurated the machinery and said as part of transforming Hyderabad into a global city, the GHMC is introducing latest technology and infrastructure in sanitation wing.
Towards this end, the corporation has already brought in sweeping machines for cleaning of the roads and mini jetting machines for cleaning of sewer lines.
Equipped with four cameras, and a screen to view from above, the robotic machinery can clean the manholes of up to 30 feet depth, a statement from GHMC informed. Based on its performance in Serilingampally, it will be introduced in other zones too.
This should be done by across whole india 🇮🇳 so that the lives of so many man can be saved
Ashvith Shetty dude if there’s life they will find better jobs for their own self
If there’s is no life how they can make money n look other countries which are already using this type of system and their man with lots of safety technology is everywhere but man can find alternative for it
Ashvith Shetty i meant if you see the data of last couple years how many people who post their life in this manhole you will have idea what I’m saying
Robots are doing work on other places too that shouldn’t that much big concern like people who are losing life every single day and putting their family without any shelter
Vo at least Majdoori kar lenge agar jinda hi rahe liye to
Wow so many long sentences
@Ashvith Shetty they can be taught to operate the machine dude because it's not autonomous
@Ashvith Shetty ah keep crying mate.
This should introduce across the country.
Yes
We would love to construct more statues
Yeah in few thousand years
-Karela is the first state to do that , then delhi .
@@gomes8335 lol
But that's the sad truth
It is made by Gen Robotics a startup based in Kerala, Trivandrum
Oohhk
That is reallllllyyyy very relaxing Buddy 😔 !!
I have seen a guy in manhole and that was reallllllyyyy very disturbing ☹️
Kya caste tha uska?
@@kamartaj3010 puchne ki jarurat hai kya??
Marathi hoga woh
Ofcourse It is just about caste 😑
Sensible comment
This is more important than bullet train. Thank you technology
Bullet train is important as that's why japan built it in 1960 & Talk about Man hole they are decorated in Japan See Only in Japan John Daub
@@RahulJoshi-di3mm From a technological point of view, a bullet train is far more superior and complex than this robot. But from a social point of view, this robot is exponentially important than the bullet train.
@@shenanigans4177 no, even with a social point of view, the benefits of a bullet train in terms of physical mobility is staggering
I applaud the effort and commitment of Hyderabad municipality. Kudos to all involved.
For this type inventions we required so many human lives 😔
Zero human life is needed, people are only needed for operation and setup rest all is taken care by the robot.
@@buddybot9329 he meant this kind of technology should have been implemented long long ago . A lot of people have died due to manual scavenging
If our school/college education focuses on critical thinking/practicals & developing entrepreneurship in students, then people can execute their ideas,& slove problems face by India.
This is the Best ever invention in the world....
No More human will died in Manhole
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Life saving Tech , govt should implement this on a priority basis across the country.
The real invention which really helps the most needed.
Indian Govt should introduce this all over India and stop the manual scavenging of human waste by a fellow human
Great initiative, it will save the life of the people who are working in manholes. Should be deployed across the country.
Nice innovation, feeling proud. They should make a whole truck so that transportation should make it much easier to move this fine piece of machinery
A 2 million dollar remote control claw? GENIUS! If I got a 2 million dollar government grant I’d milk it too!
Telangana will be role mode to india. Though I am from andhra I love KTR & KCR ruling. Future leader KTR no doubt about it.
We Telugus of Telangana are top tax payers y u r thanking kcr for it..
No bro, Telangana isn't top tax collector
Its already implemented in Kerala.. and the important thing is the robot is made by a startup called Gen Robotics based in Trivandrum, Kerala..
This robot is expensive but if we can make it in large numbers then it will cost less and we will be able to use it throughout the country, hope our tax money goes into these purpose, because a lot of our tax money either wasted or went into someone's pocket (suppose local municipalities eat up a lot of money but service is worst of its kind).
Ok mr finance minister
@@vibhusingh9152 😂😂🖐🖐
you still dont need to climb down a man hole to clean it without this machine.
32 lakhs is not a big amount for a man's life.... And it's not like it's only for one time use.... It's always available to use..... Now no man has to risk his life get down in there .... It's called the Bandicoot..... Am from hyd..I have seen it in operation it's cool many countries Have already placed orders for these machines.....
Politicians in India - it will cause the job loss to the manual scavengers.
Its the small steps like these that make huge differences and reinstills the feeling of hope.
Such a Nobel thought.. Please don't take their jobs away, instead train the workers how to operate these robots and technology
the need of the hour
Its great idea. But cost is too high. And you have to see the alternative employment for the people who will be replaced by machines. This will lead to job loss from labours prespective. This jobwas there bread n butter so finding an alternative is of utmost importance
Thats Only for few months only.. after that they through that machine in trash
Hyderabad is the greatest.
Yes yes !!
After Watching Article 15 movie I'm in a thought like this ..
Happy to hear this .

Great job for Humanity.
Thanks Government and municipal offices for this . Thanks again . Thanks .
Thank you govt. Hoping to see a complete switch to this tech. Seeing someone entering manhole makes us GAG, imagine what people go through when they enter
must have for smart cities in the initial phase
A big step towards success
Please do so, it is really necessary. They are also humans, they too have family. No body should be forced to do this kind of work. Where is the automation when we need it
A highly welcome move.
This is amazing.. However I don't think GHMC would have this in every area..but at the more urban areas of Hyd. It would break my heart to see the Sewerage depth men using their bare hands without any protection or boots..I feel that GHMC should come up with an alternative option which is less expensive.
Manholes cleaning is traditionally done by vacuum sucktion trucks in kolkata since last 50 years. No body enters a manhole in kolkata. How come it is not there in other states I wonder
32lakh is not a huge amount....so it can be easily provided across the country
Looking at that machine, it shouldn't be costing more than 5 lakh.
It is already present in Howrah municipal corporation, but my be not this advance. But it is great to see that different cities also started using it rather using human workers to clean these mess. It is unhealthy and unsafe for the workers who does this. But the question is will municipality give those workers a substitute job while they use robots to clean potholes?
Great start.
The description says this is a sponsored machine under some scheme. Really hope the Govt ends up purchasing a couple of these instead of using just one, and eventually ends up overusing it. No human being deserves to work in manholes.
Wow which country created this ? Great.
about time!
Well done Hyderabad governments... 👏👏👏👏👏
Can we use this robo to save child in potholes
Great! Path to freedom. After 70 years of independence.
Such machines can be built easily at much lower cost if there is real intention and seriousness to solve this issue.
A slap to so called manu badi who used to say manhole will be clean by only certain section of community.
-What is my purpose?
-See that hole over there?
-Oh my god...
Haha. Gonna pay for that later.
Manual scavenging is not the only problem in our country. Quite a lot of people are dying without food. Lot of water scarcity and so many.
I feel 32L is too much for this. With the same amount we can actually build a school or a hospital in villages.
If the cost is around 10L it's manageable but this is too high
You can develop a cheaper one then! The cost can reduce soon, with advances in manufacturing. The more important thing is getting people out of the manholes!
Good work always appreciated
0:05, unhappy to see him not wearing gloves.
Why is vacuum pump not used........
so happy to see this!
Humanity is the need of the hour to solve discrimination, religion feuds, riots, corruption amd poverty
Uh..ohkay, We need more ROOOBOOTSS!!!!!
Which company is making it
Bt it's implementation will take alot time !!! The cruel reality
It's very wired that such expensive machine is not automatic or semi automatic
According to current stuff I don't this it's worth 30 lakh
Or maybe they are including development expenditure
Congrats. Happy
Let's clean everyone mentality first?
Hope..it reaches every nook and corner of India✨
While this is cool, I'm *immensely* distracted by the fact they're wearing sandals while working on something so unhygienic.
Still, very cool. Hopefully this makes the job easier.
Additional information-Karela is the first state to do that , then delhi .
Finally!
Let us wait and see in how many months this system fails, and they return back to manual
wow badi jaldi le aai .ba shyderabad mein ,dekhte hai kitna use hoga
In most countries, High Pressure Water and vacuum truck do the job much faster.
Great Initiative...Begining of the end to caste discrimination..
Wasn't this invented by students from Kerala?
what is in it for 32 lacs?
Why don't we have a better drainage system
Our govt would still prefer cheap manual labour and then 32 lakhs just disappear.
Yes these Robots should be deployed pan India..
super
32 lakh not more than a life ...👍👍👍👍👌👌
Nice
I believe 30lakhs is a huge amount for such device and additional maintain cost will be a burden for government.
Should go for more efficient model
Gattar karija saaf.... Puri Dunyia day
Please do not sell this to the chinese. Gutter oil "production" would boom
👍
Very good❤👏
Ya know automation got really fast when even low key Indians job get automated as well
What about Africa? They're still struggling to be human enough
Suru me recordings reserve chal ra 😀😁😂🤣
Finally some good news....

THIRTY TWO LAKHS 😱😱😱
Central govt will never be able to afford that.
Why?
What do u mean by whyyy? Don't u know the govt ki aukad basic developments jese sanitations, hunger, education, health care thik karna kabhi hogi nahi. They have tinyyyyminyyyy perception regarding developments.
They can build a useless statue worth 3000 crore than y not this?
Very slow Robot...🤔🤔🤔
Can india build these machines.
They are from an Indian startup based in Kerala.. Gen Robotics
Hyderabad us the US of India
I bet it smells pretty farty down there.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I wonder if in it's off time if the robot can run a scam call center?
Cost matters
