The NUX is a Marshal in a box, the Kokko is a Boss DS-1. I have a Twinote British dist that seems to be like the NUX. NUX, Kokko and Twinote is all made in the same place. In reality Twinote or Kokko are all a NUX brand.
NUX Brownie Distortion = Twinote British Dist, NUX Distortion = Kokko Distortion, NUX Supa Drive = Kokko Supa Drive. I Think NUX Brownie Distortion is an upgrade of NUX Supa Drive. All these pedals are kind of a Bluesbreaker. NUX, Kokko, Twinote are all the same brand, are all NUX pedals. Confused?
Just open the two things and take a look inside. In some cases this is the easiest method. I think they can't be the same circuit, because the Kokko Distortion is also sold under the Nux brand nowadays! Nux Mini Core SE. Exactly the same look and even the glow in the dark knobs. So, it would make no sense to have 2 differently named and looking Nux pedals with the same circuit inside! But who knows! I have the Kokko, too (costs so much less directly from china than the Mini Core SE!). Sounds best when the clean channel crunches a bit. Where it really shines is when you use it as an OD boost. It doesn't cut as much bass as the tubescreamer but still adds lots of punch and attack to Distortion channel. Also it colors the pinch harmonics very beautifully. Try it out.
The Nux Brownie is the same pedal as the Twinote British Distortion. The only real difference is that the Nux goes for about $50 bucks on Ebay, while the Twinote goes for about $14 bucks.
Obviously not. The distortion sounds raspy. I'll stick with the joyo deluxe crunch with its 2 gain stages and can go from boost to 80s high gain lead solo tone
Make Twinote BRITISH vs Nux Brownie! They're both made by Cherub but Twinote is at half the price of Nux. I got the Twinote one and by this video I think it's the same.
I wouldn't buy NUX pedals, not if they were the last pedals on earth. That video - example is very helpful and explains that all chinese pedals are not like Caline pedals, that are killers for a lot of USA pedals (Orange Burst etc.)
I have a Nux Amp Simulator and Classic Overdrive and they are both amazing pedals. The Classic Overdrive sounds every bit as good as a $100 dollar Ibanez TS9, except they were selling them brand new last Dec for $11.99 on ebay. Can't beat that with anything.

In fact brownie is the kokko SUPA drive not distortion one
Thats why sounds different
Actually we also got Kokko Supa, it's a very low gain over drive pedal. Brownie is very creamy distortion. Quite different.
Tone Secret review & lessons really!?? mine sounds like marshall brown sound! a lot higher then the overdrive
Yap, if you want, we could shoot another urban legend of Brownie vs Supa.
Tone Secret review & lessons please ! i would appreciate and share ! thanks
OK, we'll put it into our shooting schedule.
Kokko pukko, but opokko not tukko! Katukko patukko no takko. Hakko...
Pritty close the nux more tube like as as bright as the kokko
I use to hear that song alot but i dont know the title
Bernard Adante Andy Timmons - Electric Gypsy
Michael Barber Thanks
The nux one sounds like fuzz
I have the distortion and looper pedal

What's with the Caline pedals?? (I don't know much about them)

I bought a Nux Solid Studio and very satisfied with it.
Nux does some very very good pedals. The XTC is amazing. Easily holds its own against the Caline Blue Sky.
