  • Flyin West: Black History you may not know about
This is the last week for "Flyin' West' at the Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis. The play from the legendary Pearl Cleage tells the story of the Black towns that popped up in several states in the 1800's, primarily because Black people -- even those who were nominally 'free' -- were iced out of society by whites. It's historical fiction, but it's very real and will uplift you!
We talk to one of the stars of the Indianapolis production - LaKesha Lorene, as well as the associate artistic director of the IRT, Benjamin Hanna.
