I think out of all of them, Green Hill is my favorite for how scary it sounds. Maybe it's because I've been listening to too much Sonic.exe content, but there's something about twisting the cheerful and upbeat Green Hill music into something terrifying and unnerving that really works for me.
initially i didn't want to make final zone music because it's just final boss music, not the zone (the zone is still scrap brain), and because final boss music is something like a remix of main boss theme

If Robotnik had a second phase, all of these would be it for their respective zones. Sonic 1's biss music actually sounded threatening compared to what came after, and these remixes accentuate them, especially Scrap Brain.
Final Zone act 2 could probably be a fight with Metal Sonic (or an elite Roller with such a resemblance since I've heard somewhere that the Roller badnik is Robotnik's first attempt at a robot Sonic and because someone else's headcanon that I follow says CD Metal was only built to rival Sonic's speed instead of his combat skills and was rebuilt in Knuckles Chaotix to be much better; stronger, more adaptive, transformable, and with a personality of his own)
