When Lue goes to the bench 2 minutes later, Lebron asks "we ain't have no more time outs?" That’s because it’s perfectly normal to miss a free throw. Even if he made it, the Warriors would have had time to attempt a game winner. The real flaw was KLove needlessly fouling Curry on a layup on the previous possession up by 2. Just let him tie it, and then LeBron can attempt the game winner! Instead he stupidly fouled him and now the Cavs were down by 1. I will go to my grave saying that if KLove doesn’t foul, LeBron hits the game winner and it becomes an all-time iconic moment.
But whatever. Even if that happened , the Cavs would have lost the series anyway. JR and KLove were massively clutch in the only game that truly mattered. The most important game in NBA history. June 19, 2016. There has never been, and never will be, a more important NBA game than that one. And in that moment, they delivered.
