Not only are we learning about knives, but you’re teaching us about bees too. Amazing little creatures! Thanks for the video and take care of that finger!
Hi Kevin, great video not only about knives but also about bees! You have beautiful bees, I admire it when someone has them.. I've also thought about trying it several times, but it's a lot of work with them and you have to take good care of them😉😊🐝👌👍
Great show of Barlows K.D., just need a Russell to make it complete. Nice piece of doctoring on the cut. Saw the pieces you gave A.W., you got a heart of gold friend
One of these days I’ll pick up ( buy) a Barlow . I’m not dissing it. ,, just haven’t had an occasion to buy one ..been watching more n more videos lately. Getting educated.. So this was a good educational experience . Thanks for sharing some of your collection with us, Kevin.
The blue wrap you used Is commonly called a Koban. They're great! Don't stick to anything but themselves. I'm a Supply specialist for my local hospital ER. I go through at least 60 of them a day! For us hairy arm folks, they're a godsend! Lol. Love the channel!
Thanks for sharing your Barlow knives. The remingtons were sure neat to see come in the mail. Be careful with those sharp and shiny, as 2nd Chance George would say...take care🇺🇲🔪🔥🌲
I was able to pick up that 206 new in box with papers at an antique store in Kentucky for $35 I have the Granddaddy in the red Sawcut with the 1940-69 markings My wife occasionally turns me loose at a flea market or antique store and once in a while she points out a great one If she let me run loose like your beautiful wife lets you I would probably have a thousand knives lol Those are treasures Kevin
Looking good! I knew a man who worked his bees in shorts and a T-shirt. I wore a suit and would still get stung 10 times. I picked up 8 knives at the pawn shop this morning. Kissing Crane Stiletto, Kissing Crane 2829, Scharade 6814 yellow handles, Ulster 2 blade, Colonial small 2 blade pearl handles, 3 Remingtons , haven’t found any model numbers yet. Model numbers could be off. I have applied CLP and will clean them up later.
That was cool thank you for sharing with us your beehive I’ve never seen one up close before. I love local honey it’s very good for you. I’ll have to try putting honey on my next wound hopefully it’s not for awhile now.
I own a few of those remingtons i believe they were made by camillus in the 90s they great knives nice barlows too iv been on a barlow and keen kutter kick lately 😊
I love me some Barlow knives. I had one as a kid and not sure what became of it. I picked up another one, Imperial made, and like to use it for small cutting projects.
Loving the videos!! I have the upland remington knife that u showed on the paper work. I had a friend who’s dad raised bees best honey ever!! Hey thanks for sharing I really enjoyed this brought back lot of memories!!
Kevin this next Auction will be Awesome man! I will definitely have some bought and sent my way.....❤ I just checked, your surprise item is due tomorrow at my place. I have a couple of things to add. Then it will be headed your way my brother! You should receive it by the middle of next week...😊
Kevin I cut my knuckles in the same spot and the same way, I was opening a 2 blade Barlow made in Germany by a company named Henry sears and sons. Very sharp carbon steel blades, don't open with the blade in the have way stop you will always get your knuckle when trying to open the pen blade 😀 great video and I felt the cut. Be safe and careful GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸
Great knives, it's good to see your collection and sharing your knowledge. The look into your be give was really fun. Your content is some of the best out there by far.
Doc, I cringed when I saw you cut yourself… I have done that same thing with, you guessed it, a Barlow with half stops. Ouch. It was cool you put in the section about the bees. Great video as usual! Good Job Doc!
Hi Kevin great video as always I was wondering what would you recommend for a beginner knife collector I really enjoy knives but don't know what to look for and how to get a older knife
Yep you wasn’t lying, that bastard jump out and bit ya, I seen it go down, let me know if you need a witness lol😂😂😂. Great channel man, looks like it wasn’t to bad a cut thank goodness, we all do it from time to time.
Yeah u definitely proved it was sharp the hard way, but doing something that u like doing is the price u got to pay sometimes thanks for sharing and keep up the great videos
Good morning Kevin..great video. Having your best interest in mind I’ll take that Case Barlow for your protection, I’ll also include your original $5.00 plus a box of band aids.. In all seriousness, be careful man, with those strong springs that knife will cut you before God knows about it, and thats quick..
A knife's not really yours until it gives you a love bite - that one's a keeper! Honey does have excellent antibacterial properties, but it does have to be _real_ honey. It is said that factories in China produce more "honey" than all the bees in the world combined. Not that Kevin would be likely to buy it...
I have a offer for a old case straight razor I’ve looked at it not sure when it was made but it has a yellow orange handle on it. Guy wants 60 dollars for it would you jump on that? It’s a real old straight razor. Case an sons it says an still in the box? What do u think?
No, I’m sorry. I don’t repair knives for other people. Repairs don’t always go as planned. I don’t want to permanently damage a sentimental knife. I hope you understand. Thanks for reaching out!!
Thank you for your interesting, educational and entertaining videos, from knife repairs to beekeeping. I winced when I saw you cut yourself - so please don’t do that again.
You should get sponsored by Band-Aid.
My old mentor: ‘if you don’t mess up you aren’t doing anything ‘
Life would most definitely suffer without Bees

Thank you sir for teaching about your passions both the knives and your beekeeping skills. You live an amazing life❤ God bless

Cool video thumbs up. I think I'd sell that one Barlow, lol.

Do you augment the bee's diet with sugar or anything in the winter?
Good morning everyone!
Enjoy your videos, be careful with the sharp & shinny.

Love to swap you out of that Ulster barlow, i have one of the tobaco cans , and i would like to get those 3 knives found and put in a display case .

Hey Doc, Do you ever sell any of the honey? I would definitely be interested in purchasing a jar.. 😊
I don't
I have a 1979 one dot case barlow 620091/2. Handle looks to be red bone but I can't tell for sure. How can I tell if it's bone or durlin for sure?
Sometimes it’s hard to tell. It fools me sometimes.
I guess I will never know but sure is a nice one.@@theknifedoctor
@@a.danielcavallo6050 send some photos to knifeproxx@gmail.com I’ll look at it. Send some of the whole knife nd close up of the handles.

@@theknifedoctor well, need to get a bunch more bee hives and get busy!Right?I know that’s got to be some good honey.
The remington knives were more than likely made by Camillus.
Easy Big Guy!!!! You got another battle scar Kev.....
Would you take $1,000.50 for that Case XX Barlow? 🤣😂🤣😂
Ive just started on my Barlow collection I didn’t have an interest until the last year or so
I was always told it’s not truly your blade until you’ve shed blood on it lol
Good morning
Morning
Hey I’m wondering if you can repair a pocket knife for me
No, I’m sorry. I don’t repair knives for other people. Repairs don’t always go as planned. I don’t want to permanently damage a sentimental knife. I hope you understand. Thanks for reaching out!!
Sounds good I understand thanks
Know of anybody who can ?
The perfect knife is an American made barlow with a single spearpoint blade, smooth bone handles and carbon steel.
Those Remingtons looks like they were made in the 80s and camillus made them
Ouch!!
Kevin at least you teach us about bees and how sharp knives can be and learn knives safety. Ouch!! My brother.
You need so.e liquid bandage superglue
Knives and Hives...lol
When you pay, in blood,, for some of your Barlow's,,, it's no wonder you can't put a price on them.
Thank you for your interesting, educational and entertaining videos, from knife repairs to beekeeping. I winced when I saw you cut yourself - so please don’t do that again.
Ouch, I could feel that. 🩹 Great knife though.
