    One thing that annoys me is when people ask me why my horse(s) aren't quiet enough for them to ride. A lot of people think that all horses are as quiet as professional trail riding horses, police horses etc. They don't understand that even those horses have their moments. That horses are not bicycles and are living creatures with brains and instincts of their own.

    One thing that pisses me off is when people say to like "you should use a bitless bridle, any good horse person would be able to control their horse out on xc bitless or anywhere, cause my friends uncles brothers stepbrother nieces friends sisters bestfriends sisters goldfish owner rode a bitless horse once and said it was easy " like yeah brah why don't you take my nut job out on xc and demonstrate your theory lol

    Hannah, would like to add; Your jumping is good too. Seeing a distance is a craft perfected only by riders who get to jump several horses a day almost every day of the week. It AIN't easy. You have lots of talent though.

    I feel the pain of getting tired because your horse is constantly pulling. I worked with this horse for a little and he was the master at pulling. Mind you I did barrels AND jumping with this horse. When I first started working with this horse, I would be tired just trotting him through the barrel pattern. He loved to jump. Whenever I would go into the arena and the jumps were set out. He would just pull and yank and want to go. My current horse used to buck and get excited when I ride near a jump but she doesn't constantly pull thank the lord. She's gotten better about it. When she goes into the gate for barrels she would wait for me to cue her to leave compared to the other horse who would pull and fight to go. On the bright side it turns into a major workout I guess!

    Oh gosh ahaha I almost jumped a jump backwards last time I did a SJ course at a show so I had to pull up super sharply and then do a circle so I got eliminated 😂 HOW ON EARTH DO YOU REMEMBER SJ COURSES?! Do you have any tips?

    • @nellypap1106
      @nellypap1106 6 років тому +1

      Grand Pegasi Equestrian walk the course like 4 times to get it stuck in your brain, then stand outside the the arena and do it with your finger, and when you get on your horse do it again with your finger. It should work 😂
      I legit am the same with XC I haven’t yet completed a grade 4 ode because I forget the course and get eliminated😅😭😂

    I live your mom!
    I just did a clinic and our trainer was talking about arm chair riders😂.
    When they start saying easy whoa or faster when you have a good stride.
    You should be wearing (insert expensive brand here) they look better blah blah blah
    Heels down more, you should shorten your stirrups
    Seeing them cringe just in general for minor mistakes

    I really enjoy your vids. I'm a horsewoman myself. I just would like to see you give Jerry a little affection. I think horses respond well to lots of pats when he does well. Rubs on the forehead. treats. Anything that says you did good and you're appreciated and loved. No need to get angry. Just my opion or suggestion. I've been showing horses for 45 years. I know wheooo, long time. I still ride on a regular basis. And with age I have become more soft hearted. We do ask a Lot of our horses. they are living creatures with feelings too. Not admonishing you, just bringing it up. You're doing a good job. Your Dressage is quite good.

  • @stephanglim7192
    @stephanglim7192 6 років тому +33

    Oh gosh where to begin??!
    Armchair coaches/riders say things like:
    -Why do you use that bit/any bit at all? It's cruel and means you aren't good enough to ride without one/you obviously know nothing and that's why you use those cruel contraptions!
    -Not hating or anything just some advice!! Maybe you should change x tack or x things in your position as they're probably the reason your horse bucks/rears/knocks fences, not hating just giving advice!!1!!1
    -your horse is too skinny or too fat you should change their feed!
    -maybe try NOT kicking/pulling your horse and instead learn to ride??!?!
    -I have ridden lots of young/green/naughty horses and in my experience riding like x works really well, so completely change your riding style (on a horse they have never seen in person or ridden!) because obviously you're doing it wrong
    -maybe get a trainer! Because you obviously don't know what you're doing!!
    -jumping is actually really cruel and your horse looks so unhappy so why are you making it do jumping?
    -you should jump your horse more so it stops getting rails, jump them everyday it's fine for their bodies
    Or - you should jump your horse less because it's really bad for their bodies
    The list goes on 😂😫

      my favourites:
      1. "oH mY gOd YoUr HoRsE nEeDs 2 WeRk MoRe FrOm BeHiNd He iS nOt wErKiNg PrOpErLy" but doesn't know what training scale is or what that means
      2. ALL metal is bad bad bad and rope everything = horse jedi master
      3. [blanket statement about green horses that doesn't take individual needs into account]
      4. *gives bad advice on facebook groups*
      5. "rescues" an ottb but does nothing with it
      6. refuses to ride at shows but will bitch about riders competing (refer to 1. for further details)
      7. obsesses over pedigree
      8. hates other people's success

    things armchair riders say: "your horse is only acting up because you're using a crop!!1" or "YOURE PULLING WAY TOO HARD ON YOUR HORSES MOUTH" (even if it's essential that you use your reins to pull a horse up for safety reasons) 🙄🙄
