I don't know a whole lot about kwebbelkop, but as it sounds to me he's just developping a project he's passionate about. Also if you don't like the content don't watch it. Personally I find it fascinating. It looks like a huge amount of progress has been made in such a short amount of time. Many many hours of work and dedication has clearly gone into this, and while the current product is rough there's clearly so much potential for something incredible.

The issue so many people have is this isn't to enhance the art/creativity like he claims. This is an issue of creating a tool that replaces the need for human involvement.

Would you be okay with all human involvement being removed, where there is no creation by a person to be found because it was drowned out by a program creating carbon copies of itself for the viewer to absorb.

I think you're the one severely underestimating how fast this tech is advancing and overestimating the standards of people when it comes to "content creation". Just because you watch quality content doesn't mean the vast majority of people don't eat up the lowest common denominator garbage. Credit where its due, that Kwebbelkop 2.0 AI is actually really impressive. I didn't pick it up for half a minute until I noticed how off the minute facial movements are.
However, it's sad that instead of doing literally anything else with this breakthrough in AI tech, he used it to make an already soulless letsplay content even more soulless.
I felt it was very obvious, from the off-sync lips and excessive blinking, to the downright horrible script, and obvious terrible prompting.

From a financial standpoint this guy is a a genius, he uses his existing channel as a testing ground and as soon he has figured out the formula where people barely notice he can produce multiple channels and grow them for more profit. But yea dark times ahead for the users if you have to question each channel and wonder if it’s a real person.. this is Reddit story channels on steroids.
Also a positive aspect from this is that he pushes engram tech (like in cyberpunk) so when a content creator is able to create a lifelike copy of themself they may be able to „interact“ with fans even after death. I know this is far fetched but I like the concept of having a lifelike copy of a loved one to interact with to cope with loss, so it’s easier to let go step by step.

I find it ironic how he accuses people of thinking in the short term when he is incapable of thinking long term. If UA-cam becomes a platform full of AI creators who is to say companies will not not create videos of their own? Companies with exponentially more funding than 95% of UA-camrs, which means greater skill and numbers of programmers, which means faster creation times and higher quality videos. Kwebbelkop himself will be replaced by an AI, should the technology continue to move forward as he is pushing it to.
I’m guessing he knows these implications and that’s why he’s going so hard into this.
Maybe this is the future he wants, or maybe he doesn’t want to be left behind when it happens.

The barrier to entry when it comes to becoming a youtuber is already low. If you can't afford the fancy tech commonly used by creators that's just fine. Like, Danphann's still using her 360p webcam to record her videos, you'd still be allowed to upload that to UA-cam anyway. Hell, what he's done with AI makes content creation even harder as the average aspiring youtuber can't possibly employ a team that can utilize this kind of technology for them.

Honestly even his tweets seem so inhuman, I'm like 90% sure he's probably got an AI generating tweets. Honestly it's clear to me AI is just a way for him to feed his ego, it's why he's made one based off of himself and is so invested in it. You can also tell from his profile pic he's on that Steve Jobs delusion, he sees himself as a visionary when he's actually just way overinvested in a new technology. The thing is something like an AI thumbnail generator isn't a bad idea and could actually help a lot of youtubers but he chooses to advertise it in the most soulless way possible, not to mention he also advocates for a full AI takeover in favour of lazy AI content. That's really the thing that pisses people off, it's that he tries to sell the idea of AI content farms as a creative endeavour when really it's just a passive income generator for the already wealthy, yet he tries to sell it as the future of creativity. Honestly I think he should just retire from being a youtuber and work on AI tools that would be beneficial to actual creators rather than trying to pioneer things like AI influencers, focus on using AI to make people's lives better rather than trying to use AI to replace them.
