It can be taken in and they wanted to order me a smaller size but I am under weight now so I wanted to go with the size they originally measured me as that way I would have a reason to gain the weight. Have you considered seeing a nutritionist? With a plant based diet, it can be tricky to keep up with your personal caloric needs, and a nutritionist could probably help out quite a bit.
She should start eating animal protein and fats again like salmon and chicken. Living just off plants isn't the same. We need both meat and vegetables...many vegans are going back to meat after years of plant food it seems like it's a temporary fix but the body will eventually start to suffer.
Sofia Bravo Protein and fats coming from meat are no better than coming from plants which is where those animals get them. Meat was needed when humans had to hunt and forage for food to get high protein and fats quick and easily. Today we don’t need that. The meat industry is horrible and massive. The planet would actually do better at feeding people without it because of the space and resources it uses. Check out Kristen Leo’s UA-cam channel (she recommends great documentaries too) and others for more information.

My wedding was over 12 years ago but I had to get my dress altered to basically a size 0 because it was a size 2 and it was too big when it got closer to my wedding day. Can't wait to see what dress you picked. All the ones you tried on were beautiful.
Had the same problem my entire life. I was so skinny. finally at 50 I gained weight. I learned to enjoy food. and that was the key. Good lon your journey.

People tell me that I’m so skinny all the time and they don’t get how rude that can be when that’s already an insecurity. All my life, at least until I came into my 30, I had a "problem" with being sooo thin. Well, I started to take vitamins and I started to eat 5 times a day. I was not pressing myself to eat a lot, but to eat regularly and healthy. I did add some weight on. Good luck and a kiss from France :)

I have the same struggle with my weight, I’m naturally small & I’m only 20 and can’t even remember a time where I wasn’t insecure about how hard it is for me to put on weight and keep it on. It’s also hard when you already wish you were a little heavier and hearing comments like “you are soooo skinny” or “you need to eat!” It can make you feel so insecure! Have you tried a plant based protein powder? Might help. I have the opposite problem but I found out it's because my body doesn't process glucose properly. Stores it instead of using it. Get a total blood work up with A1C check to see the cause of why you can't seem to keep weight on. Might not be anything serious but it's always a good idea to check for underlying issues before starting to gain or lose weight. Best of luck.

I've had the same struggle - I'm 4'10 and 100 pounds on a good day. My doctor is always telling me that I'm in the healthy range, but that he would like to see me gain 5 to 10 pounds, and I'm constantly wondering how to do that. To gain weight: Carbs, carbs, carbs. Garlic bread. French bread with butter, bagel with cream cheese with a little jam on top. One of those little boxes of dried cranberries has 24 carbs.

Try multivitamins, try weight lifting, eat bananas, peanut butter and avocados everyday. Healthy fats. I haven't had this problem, but all of my husband's kids have issues gaining weight.
Maybe for breakfast you could have a smoothie with protein powder, lunch you could eat a peanut butter jelly sandwich, and dinner mashed potatoes, bread, green beans/broccolini, and a protein like fish or something that suits you! I am not a nutritionist but eating lots of carbs and proteins has really helped me. Also relax until you’ve digested your food so that your body can use the nutrition! 😘😘😘😘
Girl, I feel ya☹ I have to gain twenty pounds. I lost so much weight due to an iron deficiency (I lost 1/3 of my blood) I had to have a blood transfusion. Not fun. Edit: I now have a normal amount of blood after the transfusion, I just have to gain the rest of the weight.

It's nice to live vicariously through you :-) I work with people who struggle with various issues with their weight every day. I've been a health coach for more than five years now and have been a full-time personal fitness trainer, at a private studio, for more than a year and a half. Your struggles are common! Be not discouraged! Everyone's body is a little different, however, certain basic rules are the same. If you were a client of mine, I would recommend you focus your diet on a variety of calorie dense foods, and your fitness regimen on slow-motion, high intensity strength training. Your frame looks like it would take to that method very quickly! Your metabolism is clearly very fast, so avoiding traditional "cardio" style workouts, will keep you from burning off the calories you intake so quickly. That cardio style of work out also greatly slows the process of muscle building. Lean muscle building helps you to maintain a healthy weight. I hope this was helpful! People see how skinny I am they immediately say “We need to fatten you up” I say no I am fine leave me alone It is hard for me to gain weight too But you see my goal is to stay the smallest that I can be without being/ or look sickly Because they are times that I go two day without eating because I am not hungry
Here are my suggestions as a fitness person to gain weight (not giving unsolicited advice! Just putting it out there if you want) - try to do some weight training and making protein smoothies. There are a lot of great plant-based protein powders out there (I love the Tone It Up brand!), adding in almond milk and fruit makes me so delicious, and that will help you build muscle, which is very dense. I think that, combined with wearing some sort of fitness tracker with a HRM so that you know how many calories you're burning and you can eat more than that. Good luck!
Hey hun why don't you try keeping high protein bars on you it might help with bringing up your way a little bit and then they have the high protein and whey that you couldn't put in like a milkshake stuff like that and they're not bad tasting do you really if you're interested I can give you some actual more information just let me know
I had Betsey McCall paper dolls. Those hats were gorgeous. To gain weight eat carbs and eat them at least 3 times a day. milkshakes one each night or at least 3 a week. You are really thin for your height it looks like. My niece is thin too but she is very very short. Are you a size 0? My niece is 0 to 2. have you ever had your thyroid checked? Have it checked out. I loved those shoes. Keep that size you got until a few months out from your wedding. You still would have time to have it altered if need be.
You can still eat a plant based diet but add dairy like vegetarians do. And like the other comments, it’s good to see a nutritionist and go to your doctor and get blood work done to see if you are lacking in any nutrients. 😊
Dairy normally has things added to it to make it “healthy”. She just needs to increase calories, carbs, and protein. This can all be easily done being plant based.
I have a weight problem too, but not to my food choices. I don’t eat a lot of meat, but love my milk and other things. I have Crohn disease and rheumatoid Bechterew. So many times I hear your lucky not gaining weight, for the moment I weigh about 48 kg. And that’s making my family and doctor worried. So I tell them well maybe I’m lucky but how would you feel to have a closet with beautiful dresses that you cannot wear anymore but you live so much? And fighting every day against pain and not feeling hungry? So I snack in between and force myself to eat the necessary food. I can hear someone think well donate your clothing or redo them, some are not easy to fix or would cost much to do. Luckily my daughter has some similar taste and she has taken some of her clothing and we switch things. You will be a beautiful bride and your getting there. The diffuser is an good addition to the household, I like it too. Especially when you get a wet dog in the house😄. But like with Christmas I diffuse pine sent because we have a false tree made out of recycling goods. So my house would smell woody, or slightly vanilla, I use some lavender drops on a cotton swap to go to sleep, or when my husband has a severe cold we use the drops that are opening his nostrils.

Have you been tested for Hypoglycemia(low blood sugar)? That is the cause for being super underweight in a lot of people. As a naturally super thin person my self and a vegan I would say try to eat more high carb foods and more plant based protein.

False. Many vegans don’t track protein, carb, and fat intake to get an idea of what works for them. It’s totally possible to be a healthy vegan long term. Not all vegans are skinny from their food choices either.

There are oils that are ok and others that are not. Lavender and orange are fine.

People see how skinny I am they immediately say “We need to fatten you up” I say no I am fine leave me alone It is hard for me to gain weight too But you see my goal is to stay the smallest that I can be without being/ or look sickly Because they are times that I go two day without eating because I am not hungry

Here are my suggestions as a fitness person to gain weight (not giving unsolicited advice! Just putting it out there if you want) - try to do some weight training and making protein smoothies. There are a lot of great plant-based protein powders out there (I love the Tone It Up brand!), adding in almond milk and fruit makes me so delicious, and that will help you build muscle, which is very dense. I think that, combined with wearing some sort of fitness tracker with a HRM so that you know how many calories you're burning and you can eat more than that. Good luck!

Hey hun why don't you try keeping high protein bars on you it might help with bringing up your way a little bit and then they have the high protein and whey that you couldn't put in like a milkshake stuff like that and they're not bad tasting do you really if you're interested I can give you some actual more information just let me know

I had Betsey McCall paper dolls. Those hats were gorgeous. To gain weight eat carbs and eat them at least 3 times a day. milkshakes one each night or at least 3 a week. You are really thin for your height it looks like. My niece is thin too but she is very very short. Are you a size 0? My niece is 0 to 2. have you ever had your thyroid checked? Have it checked out. I loved those shoes. Keep that size you got until a few months out from your wedding. You still would have time to have it altered if need be.

You can still eat a plant based diet but add dairy like vegetarians do. And like the other comments, it’s good to see a nutritionist and go to your doctor and get blood work done to see if you are lacking in any nutrients. 😊

Dairy normally has things added to it to make it “healthy”. She just needs to increase calories, carbs, and protein. This can all be easily done being plant based.
I have a weight problem too, but not to my food choices. I don’t eat a lot of meat, but love my milk and other things. I have Crohn disease and rheumatoid Bechterew. So many times I hear your lucky not gaining weight, for the moment I weigh about 48 kg. And that’s making my family and doctor worried. So I tell them well maybe I’m lucky but how would you feel to have a closet with beautiful dresses that you cannot wear anymore but you live so much? And fighting every day against pain and not feeling hungry? So I snack in between and force myself to eat the necessary food. I can hear someone think well donate your clothing or redo them, some are not easy to fix or would cost much to do. Luckily my daughter has some similar taste and she has taken some of her clothing and we switch things.
You will be a beautiful bride and your getting there. The diffuser is an good addition to the household, I like it too. Especially when you get a wet dog in the house😄. But like with Christmas I diffuse pine sent because we have a false tree made out of recycling goods. So my house would smell woody, or slightly vanilla, I use some lavender drops on a cotton swap to go to sleep, or when my husband has a severe cold we use the drops that are opening his nostrils.

Have you been tested for Hypoglycemia(low blood sugar)? That is the cause for being super underweight in a lot of people. As a naturally super thin person my self and a vegan I would say try to eat more high carb foods and more plant based protein.

False. Many vegans don’t track protein, carb, and fat intake to get an idea of what works for them. It’s totally possible to be a healthy vegan long term. Not all vegans are skinny from their food choices either.

Sofia Bravo I don’t disagree. I choose to not eat meat and dairy bc of the way animals are treated and what they put in them. I never tell people not to eat meat but to be ethical about it, to know where it’s coming from, and to not eat so much bc that is not natural. Fruits and veggies should be the bulk of our diet. But it’s totally possible to be a healthy vegan.
Maybe trying a paleo or keto diet would help you gain weight.
