How to play - Deacon Blues by Steely Dan (chord melody guitar) NOTE: This is 1/2step above the recording (preferred Key) Donation Link square.link/u/z4Y9BnPV
Great work, Jon. Calling out the tab with each change is super helpful to dolts like me. It is a wonderful song and you’ve helped a boatload of guitarists out with your work. Thanks.
Good stuff. Nobody wrote songs like Steely Dan. A possible addition for the video…it would be nice to hear the full tune played at the beginning of the video before the breakdown lesson.
All my love and support!! The X### is confusing even to experts , and the exception of young guys who have 1/3 brain to care ( I tend to be snarky, ELITE as I've earned it) Wish we could hang in real time as humans!! I'm in NJ
Great selection however, after playing, studying, teaching, performing for 50 yrs, describing left hand chord fingerings in that X numerical etc would be better accomplished on a white board...just an opinion and your tone and taste is superb and SD is certainly World class harmony and lyrics
Agreed. I haven't spent time learning how to put graphics in the videos but that's on deck. I can easily create chord diagrams but just need to integrate them into the videos. For some of the theory stuff I plan on doing in the future, I think an actual white board would be the only way to go. Sometimes old school works best. Thanks for the comment.
Still amazing.
Stoked you are still posting these!!!! Loved your "Dont take me alive" lesson
Thanks! Any suggestions?
I agree! It's genius. Thanks for the lesson.
I like hearing the X65666 callouts!
Yeah, I always hope people know what Im referring to... To me its just quick and easy. One of these days I'll get fancy with graphics etc.
Great.👌
Thank you! Cheers!
You’re great!
You're a person I will not argue with..
THX
Very nicely worked out, but I'm sure you're a semitone sharp in your voicings. Are you tuned to Eb?
Thanks for pointing that out. I really! should have mentioned that I'm playing it a half step higher.
@@jonlee7269 No worries, nice playing, keep 'em coming!

Yes. This. It would bring a cohesion to this presentation and get the viewers ear instantly invested
@@jeffreycase9497 Anybody that's here doesn't need to here the full tune played before the lesson.
Very good lesson ...... Thanks Jon. 😎 T """New Sub""".
Thanks. Appreciate the Sub. It helps to get me fired up to add more material.
