I have done body fillers on my 2 1981 Eldorados. That top front nose body extension in 17.25 of your video was a huge challenge also.
NOTE:... it is unnecessary!
On my 1st Eldorado I left them in place and the new fillers fit in place with twisting. No need to remove them..
But on my 2nd Eldorado I removed the right nose extension just for curiosity sakes. I too used many extensions on my ratchet and had the screw falling off , fishing it out with a magnet. I used this opportunity, when it was removed, to repair the fiber optic headlight assembly too.
I mean, instead of cutting the metal piece off, I could think the new piece would need new holes so it matches up with where the bolts are that it mounts to.

Why didn't you just pull the whole quarter panel off? You would have been done in an hour for each side.
I know right now you're thinking... Why the fuck didn't I pull the whole quarter panel? Like 8 easy to get to bolts and pull the turn signal loose from it, you could have easily put on the new filler In 30 minutes.

The color match is terrible. To do all that hard work of disassembly and reassembly and have that big of a color difference is truly disappointing.
Normally you’d get them professionally color matched but maybe the sun will fade it
Why did Detroit design this bumper garbage? Beautiful overall exterior with mickey mouse parts, what a joke. Could a master fabricator weld in permanent fillers? Considering all that hard work, the color match is off.
