I would just pump health on both the Araneo and the Arthropluera, so they can survive as long as possible when you get raided. The Araneos can slow down the raiders and the Arthropluera can melt their armor, so your rexes and bears have an easier time killing off the invaders. :) Also, could you tame some Spinos next episode?? :) The lake on the volcano island has really good spawns.
for future reference fir spiders prone is best actually for any passive tame prone>crouch>standing as far as detection goes with or without ghillie. also since it makes you move slower less chance of movement speed making you get in too close. I personally keep a ghillie suit with me at all times for passive tames since it weighs next to nothing plus is nice to pop on if you are in a hot area.
They actually buffed spiders some time ago. They only have 10 base damage, but now their web attack shoots like 15 projectiles, so you can do some mad ranged damage on large targets while also keeping them slowed and kiting them. Level stamina/hp and get about 1k melee. I usually do some MS and maybe 1 or 2 weight as well.
You need a Levelling Pen. Larger version of taming/breeding pen. With that you can put some of your tames in on wander, and the aggressive ones will target the offspring. so dodo and penguin work really well
Actually Dmac, Araneo (Spiders) don't have a torpor effect, this means they cannot get knocked out and can continue biting without an issue after running out of stamina. This can be helpful however this means it won't regain stamina in the process and it can't spray web. Happy hunting!
Maybe pump health and possibly speed to use them as soldiers that slow down their heavy attackers? You could also get a few spiders and centipedes and set them on wander down in the vaults with others are set as turrets to *ahem* "dissuade" attackers with lethal force
I find the spiders are usefull in PvP if you have a bunch of them and they're used as support troops kinda. they sit back and use their webs to slow while the better hitters go in and do the damage. But you'd eed a lot of them to be viable really since they die easy.

When your base gets raided I think you should just put rocks on them if they shoot faster that way because it being more easily changable with the inventory is useless in a raid because you're not going to be riding them anyway.
I'd leave the bugs in the caves as built in defenses, and maybe get a few more just to have a good army, for war day. Because you have some battles I'd go for health since you don't want them to get destroyed to easily, and melee to increase strength of there hits. From what I saw of turret mode today it doesn't exactly look like a good feature since you want them to use all there attacks.
Dmac for the next war day if you can only have ten of each Dino you should make sure that you at least get up to ten rexs and ten spinos because you can't have gigas they will be really big threats.

sorry, dodo only works if environment will let eggs hatch naturally.
You should set some not-so-great dire bears on aggressive in the cave to level them up. It'd also help clear up the cave to help get the drops

u can use the ghillie suit when u shall tame passiv tame, something like 45% less detection when u crouch , and 90% prone. but not sure about the nr.
