Psychology often isn't concerned with helping normal people become great. It focuses mostly on unhealthy people. Even therapy is less than 30% successful at helping people. CBT is good but even with that it doesn't have a great success rate. I can't wait to get more CBT training!
I think the bible was around before the law of attraction and the secret. Even the book the secret is based on was written over 100 years ago. The law of attraction is not new - it's when you have the level of trust, non-attachment and belief in it that things begin to change.Geoff is sharing his learning and experience from what he has lived and created and yes 'shit' happens, its what you choose to do and create with it that counts. And less of it happens when you change what you focus on.
Because they don't understand and aren't that advanced in their journey. They expect 100% hands on which is fine. But miss the point, till done it long enough and reflect on their own mistakes its like children told by parents to do a thing they fight against, in 30 years they understand it and tell their kids the same thing, guess what...
Lad,no therapy has the power to help everyone or every ilness,its very much about the individual and therapist with all psychotherapy but CBT has the most evidence behind it.The success of CBT is way byond 30% fo most disorders,even placebo would be higher than that.There is no need to become great,thats why psychology isnt concerned with it.The area of positive psychology is about improving the quality of individuals and societies experience.

From there i would end up in the triangle position from which i would transition to an omoplata, geoff would then roll out of it and i would land on top after the scramble. I would then transition to mount and deliver viscious ground and pound, punches and elbows coming from everywhere. Geoff didnt have a chance.
While I have the utmost respect respect for what Geoff has achieved and indeed this is a superb seminar, nonetheless I am concerned about the biblical references.While they are used clearly to make a piont they are probably best left out in favour of another device.One day someone may complain that they did not attend to recieve unwanted religous instruction and worse still be right.This does not apply here but may in the future.
why does an ancient piece of historical literature have to be replaced? If one desires not to listen to the subject then they can simply walk away. It is that simple.
he never went to university nut just read up on the subject himself and has a reasonable grasp of the subject but that doesn't qualify him the be offering advice on the matter.
Why doesn't it? Does a degree guarantee knowledge? It merely demonstrates courses taken to fulfill a requirement. True knowledge is applying what one has learned. This is wisdom. It is a life truly lived.

I can quite honestly say, he does not practice what he preaches. And so you never walk alone, but without fake Thompson for sure...
