Looks like ads have started popping up on this video, SO, if there happen to be too many ads... I can't control the ads so it's not my fault 😔 Copyright claims mean I don't control the ad frequency, nor do I make the money off of the ads. So, my apologies if the ads are ridiculous. At the very least I hope you can still enjoy the video 🙏
I'm almost enjoying them now. The timing's brilliant. "All of Falcones muscle has been taken out, leading to the big reveal...." "HEARD ABOUT PRECIOUS PETS WEDDINGS?"
There won’t be any fireworks!! We’ve come Prepared can’t rely on any one these days you gotta do everything yourself! Btw do you know how I got these scars?? No ! But I know how you got these!! 😂😂😂
This came out when I was a freshman in college I remember concept of fear being used as a weapon of mass destruction blew my mind. That being said…Christian Bales cheekbones are clearly the real hero of this trilogy.
Did witnessing the techniques that the crew use to produce the special effects detract from the impact when you saw the finished film or add to it? E.g extras jumping into holes on the field, dirt charges detonating etc?
Literally you’ve become one of my favorite creators on the platform. The way you explain events is so calming and takes me back to when these came out. As for my thoughts on Batman Begins goes, it’s definitely my favorite in the trilogy. The Dark Knight is perfect but I like the vibes and pulpy fun Begins shows off while also taking itself 100% seriously.
I've watched the LOTR Retrospective so many times that UA-cam just plays it like its music. I hear parts of it every day until I realize I'm re-watching a 3 hour video for the 19th time.
Batman Begins is still my favourite one out of the trilogy. I mean Heath Ledger's Joker was cool and all but storywise, I find this much more inspiring. Thanks for the video Prime!
These two months both LOTR trilogy and Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy were up in IMAX in my place again after almost 20 plus years. i am really glad that i am able to enjoy all the first times watched all of them on the big screen. And now this video comes in at the perfect time for me.❤ (I like your LOTR video as well and that is awesome!)
I remember seeing that first teaser in the cinema when it came out. I didn’t know what I was looking at until the very end and I almost jumped out of my seat in excitement when I realised it was a Batman movie. I can’t remember the movie I watched after, but I will never forget the feeling or watching that trailer.
I can’t even imagine how long these videos take and you pump them out consistently; this is such a hugeeeee surprise. I was very obsessed with Batman during the Nolan days. You are amazing and wonderful in every way for updating this!
Begins is my favorite in the trilogy. Heath's Joker overshadows everything but i really like the Bruce character journey in this. I think its a stronger "movie" that TDK and especially R (which imo isnt very good in general and just feels like Nolan phoning it in)
I know Rises gets a lot of flack for being a TDK sequel without Ledger's Joker but it was in no way, shape or form "phoned in". In some ways, It's better than Begins (Better Villain, Better Love Interest)
Totally agree. Ledgers death and fantastic performance overshadowed a few flaws and for me Begins is the better film. I've tried many times to love Rise but I just can't. It's good but not at the level of the two previous. If it was at the same level it would be be the best trilogy in history.
@jasonlloyd3335 What is a trilogy where all three movies are on equal footing to you? I really feel that the arguments of how TDKR "isn't on the same level as the previous two" actually translates too "it didn't gel with the TDK sequel I envisioned in my head".
Thank you for reminding me about the goofy Nickelback TV spot for Batman Begins. I got introduced to your channel through your LOTR retrospective and I've been watching ever since. Onwards to The Dark Knight!
Can't wait to go on aother adventure with these movies. I love more deep dives in other franchises, maybe someday you will look at the Planet of the Apes Trilogy
Rewatched Batman begins recently and it’s obvious to say but it’s so good. The fact that it’s filmed on location and on purpose built sets rather than in a big warehouse with green screen everywhere really shows, all the cast are amazing, Gotham city could have been a bit weirder but that’s just a minor nitpick. I also forgot how funny this movie was, not in an annoying MCU way but just Alfred’s snide comments and Lucius Fox’s wit, even Gordon saying I need to get one of those when he first sees the tumbler. This whole movie is amazing
Can’t wait for UA-cam to start cuing this retrospective for 20+ rewatches like it does for your MCU retrospectives! Just can’t get enough of your work.
brilliant job capturing all of this! i still feel like this movie is heavily underrated due to the tragic death of heath leading to a bit of overhype of the second part of the trilogy - while begins is actually the strongest.
I have an interesting history with Batman Begins. I was told it was a prequel to Keaton’s Batman, not a reboot. So I was so confused when Joe Chill died, since Nicholson’s Joker killed Keaton’s Batman’s parents. So for the longest time as a kid this movie confused me like crazy
These retrospectives are great. TDKT is incredibly near and dear to my heart. Some of my favorite movies ever. Excellent work dude. I'm definitely subscribing. (Nolan also refers to Batman in BB as being akin to the Alien from the first Alien movie. A monster in the shadows you rarely see. Which I think sums it up just as well as the Jaws comparison.) Batman Begins is an amazing and often underrated film.
Idk why I love thisnso much. But all your videos. The way you talk. Like it brings me so much joy to learn these things. I put this on to go to bed. And then wake up in the morning and start it over to listen. I loved your marvel ones. The lord of the rings Ines were the best!!!
When I saw this in the theater I could have just gone out, took a very long pee, and gone right back in. Best Comic movie since X2. And after we get 300 & The Watchmen...
Star Wars,Marvel, transformers, Lord of the Rings, now Batman! I have been watching your channel for a year now, and I love your content and the fact you are covering Batman now is awesome
Please remember this comment when you have 10m+ subscribers because you are going places my friend! Been binge watching your content the last few days and these videos are so well made keep it up!
They way I hunkered down into blankets and snacks to watch this the second I saw it on my feed. I absolutely love your retrospectives, they're so calming and interesting
Something about this particular Batman movie really excited me then.I didn’t know it was coming and when that teaser hit I knew immediately what I was looking at. Blew my mind. The ideas and nostalgia really gets to me now. This is a great movie.
Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your hard work on this project. I lived through the previous iterations of the characters in the movies. I'm looking forward to the next two videos!
Another great Retrospective Prime! Personally I am not a huge fan of this trilogy but my next movie is my favourite of the trio, so looking forward to the video!
I absolutely loved this video but imma nitpick the upmost smallest of details...tanks have treads, the tumbler has wheels lol I'm sorry, I know... Anyways, fantastic editing, wonderful speaking skills, and a killer script. Keep it up man, this is one of the best retrospectives I have ever seen.
(Typed this before watching the video) I love this movie. I don't know if it was on purpose but something I noticed is that Ras Al Ghul and Batman are very similar to a koruko(asian stage hand), which are often confused with ninjas. Koruko are staff that work in the background and are dressed in black or any other solid color to show the audience that they're supposed to be invisible. In this movie, Ras and Batman both dress in black and work in the background to achieve their objectives in this movie. There is also the theme of theatricality in the first batman begins. There is also the play/opera show that spooks Bruce as a child. Its very fitting that Koruko are confused with ninjas with batman and ras both recieving ninja training in the league of shadows.
I just recently subscribed to ur channel. Not only are your videos so packed full of cool facts that I know must take u like a massive amt of time to research and then edit it all together, I am always so happy to just hear your voice. I got 2 ads? Not counting at the beginning that’s on most videos. I’m on mobile with no ad blocker
Ads are fine. Ppl are just too spoiled. Just get used to ads or buy premium 😂😂
I bought premium to avoid it. Def worth it.

I never get bored of watching people passionate about the Nolan trilogy talk about the storytelling, themes, and other aspects of these films.

It’s like my default “play next” video. I must be getting close to 50 watches.
It’s become a comfort video for sure.
I always appreciate how Jim in most scenarios gives Batman the benefit of the doubt and goes with his plan
Batman Begins is still my favourite one out of the trilogy. I mean Heath Ledger's Joker was cool and all but storywise, I find this much more inspiring. Thanks for the video Prime!

Something as simple as a joker card leading us to something as outstanding as Heathe Ledger's performance blows my mind.
the fact that jim gordon wasn’t the immediate go to for gary oldman amazes me. that was probably one of most perfect casting choices of the trilogy.
imagine him as ra’s al ghul 😮
Im addicted to these retrospective videos. Great job. Hats off.
The best retrospective videos in the platform. Thank you for this. 😁
