I'm a self-taught artist, and this will be my first art class since I was about 10 years old. It'll be my first art class in fifteen years. My middle school made students choose between art and band (I chose band), and my high school didn't offer art or music classes. I'm excited to finally take a class, and I'm looking forward to practicing with your guidance and advice.

Great video, although I wouldn't recommend drawing with pencil as the graphite can bleed through the paint. Drawing in paint (as you demonstrated) is best. You don't really need to use solvent either as it can destroy the binder in the paint. You could use oil straight from the tube and wipe off what you don't need with a clean rag (like t-shirt material), called the 'wipe out' technique.

If u use gamblin brand use gamsol oil it will help u to dry ur painting easily hope it helps 😇
