  • Part 4 of 4. Another great easy sew, this time its the 4 seam purse with a popper or a snap fastener... this is part 4 of 4 video tutorials, all fairly similar but with the measurements and full instructions to make either one of these purses quickly and professionally.
    You will need:
    1 piece of fabric 6.5" x 20" for outer
1 piece of fabric 6.5" x 20" for the lining
    1 piece of stabiliser 6" x 19.5"
    1 popper
    matching thread
The poppers are attached at the very end of the project, please watch the video again for suggestions of where to place the popper.

I would like to thank you 😊 very much for this tutorial. Very helpful, well explained, and user-friendly. It got me back to sewing. I haven't sewn for the past 26 years. You make a very good teacher, and the end result is professional.

I haven't sewn in easily 30 years. Picked up an old Singer at Goodwill and been trying to find small easy projects to try. Came across this video and it looked like a good place to start. Mine didn't turn out quite right but it's a start. Gotta work on my seam allowance. Your video was very easy to follow. I will definitely be giving this one a go again. Thank You!!!

Just found this and only had 5” wide fabric but it still worked. The outside was a men’s silk tie and lined with cotton. I lowered the bottom pocket and top stitched it as well and it came out beautifully! I need to find the poppers you use. I only have the old metal ones and I’m always worried about them getting rusty! Thanks so much for this lovely video tutorial. Now I need to go clean up my bits! 😉

I love this project. I can usually cut 3 right sides of purse from a fat quarter of fabric plus fat quarter for lining if I am careful with cutting the fabric. This is my favourite pattern for making little gifts for our mini Symposium plus have done a few of the one piece purses too. The left over fabric from width of fabric I can make just a small one pocket purse with some leftover lining so nothing is wasted
