The greatest ally of any Fallout run... fast traveling back to camp often to drop off junk/extra gear and selling as much as you can, whenever you can!
Really adds up for caps or parts!

Feel like quicksave is the greatest ally but that's a very close second. Just my opinion though.

from watching a bunch of her playthroughs, i strongly believe it is against her gaming morals to do anything that benefits her gameplay wise. so dropping off gear to free up space and make money or other things...thats blasphemy. 😂

Marz check out the mods for console, they should be in the main menu, I remember using a mod years ago that let's you have dogmeat as a permanent companion and also choose another companion to come with you. It was called Basic Companions Helper or something. Worth looking into.

When you hear the ticker for the land mines you can hit the action button to stop it. Then you can collect it for yourself.

Two small but helpful tips :)
1. Don't know if anyone told you already, but you do have a flashlight (activate anytime when it's dark by holding down the Pipboy button) 😊
2. Most important thing with VATS is using it at the right time (depending on situation). I see a lot of people using it when nothing's going on, but then forgetting to use it when being chased or surrounded by enemies - a situation where VATS really shines! Bc it targets everything around you 360° no matter how fast they run or whether they're in front or even behind you. And yes there are also perks ofc (for example increasing perception, getting "action girl", etc), but most of it imo come down to timing and how close enemies are. 🙂
Cool Let's Play so far btw, I'm really enjoying it. ^_^ And Dogmeat looks great at the end indeed. ;D Next stop in main quest: Virgil. Looking forward to it!
(ps: oh and psst.. if you want a fun side-quest thing, revisit the Memory Den in Good Neighbor and check the red door on the right wall. ;] )
When you loot, press square (transfer), you can freeze time and check the status of the weapon or armor.

If you stand next to a wall and press aim, your character will lean out and it will be harder to hit you.

In the settlements you "help", they become part of the minuteman network.
You can assign people to farm or do other jobs and if you have too many people you can send them to other settlements.
You should dump your junk in one of the work benches in the settlement. The storage is connected within a settlement, so you can look at the settlement inventory at any workbench.
AFAIK most places in the world has persistent storage, so you can collect a bunch of junk, shove it in a container and fast travel back to pick it up later.
You might want to examine clothing and weapon items more closely. In the PC version it shows any benefits of the item on the inventory screen, but that doesn't seem to happen on the PS5.
As you discovered alcohol gives you extras strength for a short while and dulls your intelligence. Other food and clothing items can do the same.

Marz, you can change your apparel to add more charisma which results in more caps when selling weapons or clothing you don't want.

Change your flashlight color to white it works great
Your pipboy has a flashlight. Just hold down the key that brings out your pipboy
At 1:01:48 you guys are talking about what types of pizza you like. I'd like to chime in. I order a capricciosa. I order it with extra mushroom and also add bits of ground beef and tenderloin slices. Delicious. If not, regular capricciosa suffice more than enough.

Yeah you should have helped the brotherhood immediately. Getting a good reputation with Danse early could have helped. You need allies

The sarcastic option is risky tho, u either say sum funny or just straight up be a jerk

It's funny, the right perks you choose can make you an effective alcoholic without suffering the penalties

@@LegendOfTheLeaf those radiation guns are brutal on top of the fact they are already in a radiated area and they mine up all around so you're having to dodge mines as well.

The numbers in the VATs display are your chance to hit that spot. The shotgun has a bad chance to hit beyond 10-15 yards. You were too far away from the stunted yao gui to hit it with any real chance.

Based on your skill level, I would suggest you avoid fighting mobs either with skull or a star on the name. They are very strong and have the potential to kill you. 😊 you can try to kill it but only if you feel confident.
Dont pretend this is a hard game. Killing everything guns blazing without stealth is entirely possible.
I love pineapple on pizza. Also, when I did this mission I talked to him the first time and died. I was done with this long ass mission so I just fat manned him the second time without even talking to him. Lol
just now realising, when kellong said "at least we got back up" didnt he mean back up DNA as Your character, just a reason to let you be frozen but alive.

bout protectrons.
you can usually pick there job/personality befor setting them free.
and each one of them has a turn hostile condition. rather easy to pass. if ur in the know.
(default settings show 4 lines only, specifics below)
- contruction - requieres you to wear a construction helmet. not waering one is violating the law > hostile
- subway control - requieres a subway ticket
- police - honestly dont remember :D
- medic - no idea
Police - dont unholster weapon and fire
Fire Brigade - no carrying weapons or fire hazard junk
Medic - attacks hostiles and anyone who attacks it
A piece of advice I am not sure will be read, but I think you need to start spec'ing into a specific weapon build. The late game is not as forgiving as the early game, at least on harder difficulty levels. A crit build with Agility and Luck (and Kellogg's pistol as your main weapon), or sell some stuff and try to pick up Spray 'N Pray (commando and demolition expert skills). Just my 2 cents!!!
