Another bridge option would be a schaller replacement roller bridge. It comes with adjustable saddles that you can adjust side to side to get a string spacing well below 2 inches. I am currently using this bridge for a neck that has a maximum width of 2 inches and it works great! No need to notch any saddles with this method

Great idea about the un-notched tuneomatic bridge. However what to do for a tremolo bridge? Here's what I came up with. Get graphtech string saver saddles and sand off the sides of each saddle until you hit the height adjusting screws. That should make them narrow enough. Then use existing bridge plate and using a round file, elongate the saddle intonation holes from side to side. Then go to a hardware store and buy an aluminium bar stock and cut it the same shape as the back of the existing bridge plate and drill new saddle intonation screw holes into it and you're done. The string tension will hold the new aluminium back to the existing bridge plate. I chose plastic and aluminium as it's easy to machine with common household tools. I haven't done this yet but it's what I've been thinking about because I have short fingers and a narrow neck would be a nice thing to have for those thumb over the edge of fretboard hendrix licks.

Question. I am building an e bay PRS style body neck. And it is not pre drilled for bridge..I really like a few bridges..1.. .tge schaller non trem roller. It has 3 adjustments ...2...the grand piano style top load ..3.. tune a matic..or 4.wraparound adjustable intonation ....Tge neck on this PRS style is way small.its GIbson scale believe or not 24 75..and at nut it's string spacing 1 and 7/16 ...and if I lay a straight edge on all frets with neck in body not glued yet..I only have approx 9mm if clearance..i either need a neck angle or to recess tge vrudgd into body like you said ...I'm new to this. And looking for advice ..what bridge is my best bet in your opinion..

That's a great tip Chris, thank you very much. I wasn"t aware you could buy these tune o matics with unnotched saddles. But what with the radius of the bridge ? Can you also order them in custom radia ? The thing is also..i'm from Belgium, and it is very hard to order something on Amazon, even on the French and German sites. Eight out of the ten things does not ship to Belgium. I'll maybee can go to Tonepro's homepage, but then you have also import and shipping cost, not to mention, these are allready pretty expensive. That's why i am so jealous at you guys. You have great products, even in the local hardwarestore, you can find, maple, mahogany, whatever. Over here, you're lucky if you find red cedar besides pine wood. This is off course due to what happened at 9/11. No any solution or flammable things are aloud on planes anymore. Like for instance, to mention something.. BEHLEN products. If you are able to find that in Europe, you pay with a kidney. Last week i found in the Netherlands Behlen vinyl sealer at 70 dollar for a spray can ! In the USA.. 10 $ maybee ? Have a nice day Chris.

I believe the radius is 10-12" fixed for tune-o-matics and 10" for the Rickenbacker bridge.

Man I need a bridge with a 2 3/16" string spacing. Wider than a tuneomatic. Where?

I have a question. When you change the angle of the neck, I suppose that also changes the intonation? Virtually makes the strings a little longer.
