I was wondering about the Ms Pac-Man imagery on your channel. Now it makes more sense. I was previously thinking you were targeting the 50+ audience that even knows what that is, plus hardcore video game history enthusiasts. Mad props to the chan!
Exceptional video, I cannot agree more in that there is real power in index investing.. Not to mention how easy it is all while being the closest investment to a sure-thing for an ROI.. I think it is most important to get invested into a broad market fund, mine are VTI and VTSAX!
Hello Rob, I really enjoy your channel and thanks for all the great content. Question, where would you recommend obtaining detailed stock market information? I would like to be able to download detailed information on large numbers of stocks and funds and do my own analysis. I have a WSJ subscription but I don't see anywhere on the site I can download detailed data. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.
You're right and a good point for anyone transferring assets. Just did a IRA rollover from JP Morgan to Fidelity. JPM would not transfer mutual funds in kind. Forced me to liquidate JPM funds to cash and then cash was transferred easily. Just more headache. So glad I'm gone!
Thanks. Time well spent. Your next sponsor should be a magnifying glass manufacturer. Very interesting information that is very small. I wish UA-cam would let me zoom in on a screen.
Thanks for the content Rob. I have a question regarding 90/10 portfolio. There is an ETF NTSX that does that for you, it invests 90% in S&P500 and invests 10% in bonds. But they leverage bonds 6X. Thus they call the ETF 90/60 ETF. Is that a good idea? Would you be willing to talk about/review NTSX in one of your future videos? Thank you.
The PAL is variable rate. It can be converted to a fixed rate 30 year mortgage, considered a cash out refinance. The interest on the refi is deductible up to a mortgage of $750,000. I would get the fixed rate soon, considering what the Fed has told us most recently.
totally understand your situation I am totally grey at 53 and probably look like my wife's Dad instead of husband. People always think my 15 year old son is my grandson (he could be based on age). Since probably 80% of men in their 50s dye their hair, that is what is expected in your 50s. Who knows, maybe I will dye my hair blond and look my age again!
As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make decent returns
Hello Rob, may be a silly question but when you say 90/10 (stocks/bond). Do you mean shares of index funds or the total value of the whole portfolio? Meaning i have 189 shares of vtsax (stocks) costing me 300 dollars and 21 shares of vtib ( bonds) costing 12 dollars each. Percentage wise this is ~10 % of bonds index and 90% of stock index = 90/10. Not the total value of both $56,700 (stocks) & $ 252 (bonds) which would be 99.5%/0.5%.
The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, silver and digital currencies(BTC, ETH..).
Please Rob make a shorter version of your videos. A lot of people do not have the luxury of sitting and listening for 2 hours. Thank you for the great content.
Rob, you might want to pull that video from your channel. All your content reflects on you and your "brand" Don't get me wrong, it was wonderful content. But it was dreadful to listen to.
Love your vids Rob!
Please keep the videos and knowledge flowing. Ignore the trolls and keep doing what you’re doing. Huge fan!
Rob, I just about spit my drink on my computer when you said, you were Ms. Packman champ in college! LOL! Keep up the great content! Thanks!

Glad Salty is OK!
That slow motion white towel
If you will. Please put a timeline to allow skipping to the part of the presentation we are most interested in.
Would you consider a laddered bond etf, and a laddered preferred share etf, or both, a suitable 30% fixed income portion of a portfolio for a retiree
Amigo you look great , I am also having a lot of white hair , so f.. what , we look experienced :))
You can't please them all. Be true to yourself.
for an 83 year old dude, you're looking great
Buy a 10 year CD FDIC insured for 5.6 percent. Is there a danger in buying an FDIC insured CD. I won’t need to sell early so….and kept under $250,000.
thanks

How about 'Investing ideas and opinions with Rob' for a show title ?

I couldn't care less if my hair goes gray/white, as long as I still have hair!
@Rob Berger: what do you think about the 95% withdrawal scenario (on FiCalc)? How would that hold up in a bear market?
“Nobody can offend you without your consent “ sometimes I consent very seldom but I wouldn’t consent from trolls in the internet.
You're 83 with a Canadian exchange rate

Put everything in VTI. Hold.
If you depleted your funds and required long-term care, you would most likely rely on Medicaid- not Medicare.
David lettermanesque…
“Buying gold isn’t the move” gives no answer lol it’s buying gold 😂

Total value is how I’ve always understood it.
No Rob, you don't look 83, at least 50 though.
scratch that...
Just shave the beard and color your hair a little bit to match your eye brows🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
