This game is NO Jeopardy, the questions are so panderingly easy!
The texan teams round was sooo easy! Like I know the Astros, Cowboys and Rangers are Texas teams, but idk the rest of them in my opinion. 😊
Getting a question wrong does not mean you are more unlikely to make it to the final round in this show, unlike "Jeopardy!"
And I should care that it's "no Jeopardy" because...?

I was really excited when I heard that GSN was adapting bridge of lies. Sadly I forgot it was GSN and that meant it would probably be mediocre compared to the original. Guess what happened?
I watched the series premiere last night to see a full game in action. Kudos to GSN for bringing back the "America Says" top prize value of $15k. However in the end failing the bonus round drops your winnings to (typical GSN) $1k; this is what happened last night on a different episode.
Unlike other Game Show Network shows, this is a team-based game show with only one team.
At first, I thought there was no studio audience. But now I think it's entirely possible that there was one and they just fell asleep.
Or it could be possible this was filmed during the pandemic and it never got released until now. But then again that's a bit long of a wait.
@@lunamelody2025 That was one of my early thoughts, although I have seen a copyright year of 2024 for all shows so far. Maybe Tuesday's show was the first to be recorded but I would not know that answer. The first question in that episode did ask for the ten most expensive cities from the 2022 edition of the "Worldwide Cost of Living Index."
The show was not listed for casting until 2023

Very disappointing. The original UK format really USES the bridge in its gameplay, this version is just a multiple-choice quiz with an oversized display.
after reading Lies' rules, i agree with you (and the money rules are much more lenient)
You really have to know your category on Bridge of Lies, other than the first one, most you have to think about unless you are a total expert in the field.
Now THIS looks fun! I love the overall presentation of it all.
Looking forward to more episodes of Beat the Bridge.

I thought the music was OK. That's one thing I think the UK version has never quite got right - they bring up the dramatic music and you know the contestant's going to crash out in about 30 seconds.
Also, how about an audience? I was shocked by a total lack of it despite COVID not being an emergency anymore.

This is kinda a similar of family feud, jeopardy and press your luck. But I see audience and no announcers but thier them song was ominous to the 2010 version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. and theirs other team lost the bonus round in one answer correct. But I love this game show.
Some of the questions I only figured out the answers by process of elimination, when there was three choices is when it was a little harder for me. I have a feeling this will only be a one or two season show.
This game show is brand new and my first time watching it! Im so glad this was posted because I forgot to watch this yesterday evening. The ladies did an amazing job of beating the bridge and winning that money! Congrats to them! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😊😊😊

True; this was also the case for “Blank Slate” and “Hey Yahoo” but not for “Master Minds” (before season three premiered) and “Chain Reaction” 2021.

That's the really weird thing - they did pay for the rights to Bridge of Lies - but then they didn't MAKE Bridge of Lies.

Was this filmed during covid? A big empty silent void with no audience or anyone to play off is so weird. Also the game needs more rules or a second team or something it's very boring. Longtime GSN fan.
That was one of my thoughts, too. I noticed in Tuesday's episode the first question asked for the world's ten most expensive cities according to the "Worldwide Cost of Living Index" for 2022. Finding out about that topic made me think that episode could have been produced in 2023, perhaps before the emergency ended.
I hope this gameshow doesn't last long. Losing all the money you earned if you don't beat the final bridge is bs. It's always "you still won a thousand dollars!" A thousand dollars ain't nothing in today's world. Gotta save all that money to pay the host!
I agree with you 100%. The teams should at least keep their winnings if the bonus round is lost. In this show it should not cost them $9k.

It's a copy of a UK Game show but they've dumbed it down for the US. The UK version has a bigger board where you can have multiple choices with each step. The UK version is called "Bridge of Lies".
In "Trivial Pursuit" six differently colored wedges signify a complete circle.
I really tried to give this a chance, but it was extremely boring. I couldn’t even finish the episode 😞

Suuuuch a downgrade from the original U.K. format. If you think this is good, genuinely check out the original version, “Bridge Of Lies”.
If anyone wants to take a look at the original version, there's a recent celebrity edition on YT, it's a pointing-a-camera-at-the-TV screen copy so the video quality's not amazing but it'll give you a look at how the original format works. Look for Ian Watkins Bridge Of Lies.
I hate when America pick up foreign formats they always "Americanize' the show. I hated our version of The Chase. The crappy theme the over the topness etc.

This may be the laziest game show I’ve ever seen? They don’t even get to pick the categories? Absolutely no misses because the questions were so easy. No ebb and flow. Same boring background music through the first four rounds. Total lack of energy.
