i had a lot of fun making this video so i hope you enjoy it! it was incredibly hard narrowing this down to just 100, but i ended up limiting myself to only using 2-3 songs per artist to try and give as much as variety as i could in regard to groups and release dates. some of these picks are my personal favourites, others are just classics you can't ignore. either way, i hope you enjoy the quality gg content!

@@akers7972 knowing their song and stanning them are different things, you don't have to stan them, but to me you can't call yourself a girl group stan if you don't know the veterans who pretty much paved the way for the girl groups of this generation (and recent generations), it's about recognising the efforts of their umm....ancestors (for lack of better word ._.)
Those are just my thoughts, i don't wanna gatekeep the term either that's just asking for trouble from the toxic fans

I'm really impressed! There's a really wide variety of groups and genres ranging from all eras of girl groups. I clicked on this expecting to see most songs from the mainstream popular groups but I think you did a great job of picking songs that really represented Kpop girl groups overall. BoA is the "Queen Of K-pop" and she is not only a queen, but a legendary soloist! All of her songs are bops (Korean and Japanese)
Lee Hyori is another queen! A gg stan that don't know her, I really recomend.
S.E.S is the 1st SM's girl group and their songs are incredible!
Fin.KL was a big girl group with S.E.S and their songs are also a bop!
Ps: The soloists and the group that I mentioned are from 1st generation, nem gen fans don't avoid them please, give 1st gen groups/soloist a chance and I think you will not regret (I became a K-pop fan last year, so I'm a new fan)

damn just the 90s girl groups and boa songs i didnt know. and ive only listened to mook ji ba once. i mean i guess i did know finkls but only from covers by other girl groups. but other than that, i am truly a gg stan. you know youre in too deep when singing the korean lyrics to 90 percent of the songs is as natural as stanning all of these girl groups (the 10 percent is the 2nd gen gg songs like beg abracadabra and after school bang since i never really learned those lyrics although i always knew the songs....bc back then i was...a bg stan....) as a kpop fan since 2011 and a gg stan since 2016 id say thats pretty crazy

Ive been trying to find this one girl group me and my friends stanned like 4-5 years ago i think they disbanded after like one mv, it was like a beach theme and one of the girls had red long wavy hair i think and they had like flowy clothes. I think their girl group name had “why” in it (or maybe it was what thr mv called) SOMEONE HELP ME IM LITERALLY STRESSED
