I empathize with her saying “I was mad at dad.” Because I have been mad at my dad too for saying he’s okay and putting through everything when he’s clearly not. And during those time I just thought why he had to go through all those things by himself. But I think what made it more heartbreaking is that I already knew the answer. I just wish he doesn’t always feel the need to be strong infront of us.

Let’s be honest we all (almost all) can relate...our dad’s always try to show how strong/brave they are just for us, but we all can see how hard it’s for them...one time my dad got hurt on the head really bad but he tried to stay strong for me and still worked after getting hurt! I got really angry and upset it literally hurts seeing our dad’s trying to hold their tears back I don’t get it why they do that we are their child we won’t think they are weak if the cried in front of us right? We get more worried when they say they are OK when we clearly see that they are not. no matter how we try they will still do that. So let’s love our dads they do a lot for us (same to mom)❤️

I can relate to Somi. I I have a close relationship with both my parents and growing up you think they'll be with you forever - that they're invincible.
My dad is healthy but he won't be able to beat time. Even when we do the weekly grocery run he still insists on taking the heavier bags even though I'm not a little girl anymore. It's simple stuff like this that he doesn't have to do for me anymore but he still wants to.

I know how somi felt cuz my dad has been saying 'it's fine' a lot if he does anything by himself, like last night we were arranging our furnitures back in their place cuz we painted the living room earlier, but i went upstairs for my phone and my dad had to push all the couches and the heavy asf cabinet all by himself then when i went down everything was all back in place and i realised it was just him and my 7 y/o brother downstairs cuz my mum went to bed already (cuz shes exhausted)... so that's when i regret it all and felt so bad :(
