Good Info. I use regular citrus dish detergent, Lemi-Shine, Hot Water, stainless media. I have the Frankford Arsenal Lite Rotary tumbler. I do mine for 2-1/2 hours. Amazing how clean the brass is. I also purchased a food dehydrator ( this is what the brass dryers are) for considerably less money. I put the brass in my media separator. Turn multiple times in both directions. Then put in the dehydrator. Works great. It gives me piece of mind to know I am doing what I can to keep my dies clean. FWIW.
I would look into Southern Shine Media, might be expensive to ship to SA, but who knows. Small little stainless pieces that look like the shavings from a big metal saw. They clean the inside of the case and the primer pockets better and faster than pins in my experience. I also stopped using the pins because I was tired of them getting suck in the necks of some of the calibers I shoot.
This was precisely what I was looking for. I’m looking into reloading 300 aac blackout and I like you’re reasoning there, “I’m a snob.” Yeah pretty much same here 😆 there’s just something extremely nice about as shiny reloads as I can get. Seeing them in the bucket or container all ready to go all shiny just does it for me 😂 so I’ll be taking notes of all this equipment and doing it myself.
I’ve been using cookie sheets in the oven with temp set to 150 and door slightly ajar. I check the primer pockets for no moisture about ever 20 minutes
I put mine straight on to the tray into the microwave for 45 minutes about 220 degrees and yes my brass is super shinny now half a cap dish washing liquid and a cap of lemon juice
powdered citric acid brings up the brass clean too mixed with boiling water and fairy liquid, add brass and water to a ultrasonic cleaner and your good.
Its just citric acid with a fancy label and if you use a dry tumbler you can by the same corn or walnut media for R70 a bag at a per store rather than R550 at your local gun store
Its just citric acid and if you are using a dry tumbler you can buy corn or walnut media from a pet store for R70 a tub rather than R550 at you local gun store with its hornady lable on it
Overnight versus two hours also don’t have that nonsense in the cases. Also don’t have that powder film all over everything. I’ve used both methods and this is the only way to get brass completely clean
Also brass polish contains ammonium/ammonia. Which eats the zinc out of the brass weakening it over time . Anything exploding that close to my face I'd make sure my brass is not losing any crucial metals that keep it together 🤷♂️
Actually the 400 series of stainless is magnetic. Still carries the corrosion resistance with a higher (11%) Chromium and steel, which makes it slightly magnetic.

Clean brass is the key to no stuck cases in your dies. Great video, keep it up South Africa!
Can you do a video of anealing your brass?
Love that Suits coffee mug in the background. Thanks for the video.
thanks for info, interesting combination.
What size of tumbler did/do you use requiring this cleaning recipe, 7 liter tumbler?
It is way more satisfying to load and shoot clean, shiny brass than old, grungy brass! Probably easier on the sizing dies, too.

magnetic spin thing ?
Lemi Shine is the key - that stuff is awesome!
powdered citric acid brings up the brass clean too mixed with boiling water and fairy liquid, add brass and water to a ultrasonic cleaner and your good.
Do you tumble your brass again after re sizing to remove the lube? or do you just leave the lube from Full Length Re sizing on the brass?
You shouldn't need to tumble again if you're using a reasonable amount of lube. If anything, the extra slip will help with rfeeding
It is amazing how slightly tarnished brass is exactly the color of dry grass, impossible to find.
Hi píet you give me the link of that cartridge you use on the side the rifle tanks

Does clean shinny brass shoot better ?
Quick answer is generally, no.
it actually makes the rounds much more accurate 😉😉😉😉😉😉
What kind of tumbler do you use....rotary or vibratory.
Rotary
Rotary is slower than vibratory or ultrasonic. That's why you need to have Other Chunks of harder metal and Chemicals to make it work quickly!!
I wipe my brass on my shirt and call it good.😉
lol a Frankford armory dehydrator. They just put their name on a walmart dehydrator and charged more. :D
Hi, where do you buy your Lemi Clean - did not know you can get it in SA??
Multech online
Its just citric acid and if you are using a dry tumbler you can buy corn or walnut media from a pet store for R70 a tub rather than R550 at you local gun store with its hornady lable on it
An overnight session in corn cob media with brass polish makes them super clean and shiny as well folks. Not everything demands overkill.

I am going to use a brass cleaner to clean shotgun shells.
Must be a very low grade of stainless if you can collect it with a magnet!
If that's the case Any other hard metal pieces would work.
Actually the 400 series of stainless is magnetic. Still carries the corrosion resistance with a higher (11%) Chromium and steel, which makes it slightly magnetic.
Too much lemi shine. Try 1 teaspoon.
Did I say table? Oops, I do a teaspoon 😅
I use my wife's hair dryer to dry my brass...
