I liked KyiIe's reaction better this time ; more animated and expressive as she gets into the series. As mentioned, the first movie's characters and magical world introductions Resulted in more so plot-around-characture, than character-around-plot.
Oliver and Kylie absolutely loved both Kylie’s reaction priceless 😂 and Oliver the discussion, explanation, and more of your background around the movies and books. It’s so sweet how much the world means to you it makes me appreciate the series even more. Also Oliver never apologize for how these movies make you feel, that doesn’t make you any less of a man. Watching the Harry Potter movies with you both makes me feel like I’m experiencing it for the first time. Last I’ll say is I enjoy your discussion after every movie(it’s one of my favorite segments from your channel), and I’m so happy I found your reactions, it’s already become one of my favorites to watch. Excited to continue this journey ❤😊
"Dobby had to punish himself" is actually one of the saddest lines to me. Not only do we discover in this movie that some wizard families have slaves, but we learn Dobby's "family" loyalty is so brainwashed into his subconcious that he can't even speak his own opinion without punishment. The bad family also are so entitled that they don't even want to dirty themselves doling out punishment each time their slave disobeys or has a bad thought. They had to train him in his childhood to go ahead & physically torture himself immediately. What level of depravity did that take? While the books later introduce us to a house elf that truly loves her master because she was always treated well & she becomes inconsoleable when he sends her away (for her own safety as well as making her unavailable for questioning by the Ministry in order to wrongly persecute him), how Dobby is treated by the Malfoys hints at a dark side of humans that's worse than the murders done by Voldemort & his followers. Persistent treating of others as "less than" & unworthy of humane treatment is an attack on their souls & minds. A quick death in battle is far preferable in my opinion.
Mrs. Weasly is one of my favorite mothers in fiction. I feel like any one of us could sit at her table and she could make us feel welcome and part of the family
Just enjoying seeing someone enjoy this themselves for the first time. "He's just a snitch" made me laugh because soon it's "You'll never catch me Potter!" :D
I actually love it, that your emotions shine through. Maybe this makes you feel better - when I viisted the Studio Tour in London for the first time and entered the Great Hall i started crying like a baby (and I am a mom of 5)
It's not just the scar, he has his mother's eyes and his dad's face he looks like his dad apart from his eyes and if people knew his parents then they would recognise him instantly, it's like how a lot of time if people know your family they can recognise you based off of that and say like are you related to this person, it's like that but on a wilder scaleand then obviously there is the scar and just like knowing him and knowing what happened when he was a baby but people just know, like how did Oliver know it's because he looks like his dad and a lot of people like would remember what his dad looks like so
Kylie has a valid point about the car. After the ... tender rendrez-vous with The Whomping Willow the car seemingly had enough of co-drivers and drove by itself, only in the book though.
Will absolutely binge the next couple of movies on Patreon! It’s so hard to find movie reactors that I like - but first reaction seeing you guys and I’m sold!
15:18 to "Why do they have aggressive trees on campus?" "Killer trees." "This seems like a liability." Hey, it's Hogwarts!!! Being a wizard or a witch is a liability!
I can assure you, crying while watching Harry Potter is the proper thing to do, just as giggling an awful lot while reading the books. A lot of the humor magicly dissappeared, possably because someone thought it would take away from the endearing qualities, as well as from the seriousness.
Voldermort was a weakened ghost in the last film because that is how he is currently, the 16 year old Tom Riddlr is how he was at 16, Tom Riddle isn't his true self but him as a memory from when he was 16. Also, Dobby is probably the most powerful entity in the whole franchise, maybe even more than Voldermort. He put his plan in the diary as a kind of an assurance, almost si he had an angle to make sure he could open it again if things didn't go to plan"
I cherish my Christmas trees. I always buy the ones that has that spur scent. (Some spurs don't have any scent) One year my top star was broken- then I had Eowyn from LOTR at the top, with glitter around her waist to look more Christmas like. 😊
Hey guys, one reason so many people recognize Harry is that they would have known his parents... You'll see as things unfold. He has his mother's eyes. 🤘😎
The movies really make Professor Snape more likable than the books do. He is mean to not just Harry & Company in the books, but everyone who isn't Slytherin... and even then, he gets snarky with some of them too.
Do you think Hermione just felt the need to overcompensate (even subliminally…) for the fact that her parents weren’t magical? Always answering first in class, being so knowledgeable about everything, etc… she’s probably just studious in general, but do you feel an almost desperate need to be seen as the one who knows everything? I could be way off lol just a thought
*I'm not gonna lie....when I first saw the basilisk in this movie, I had the same reaction Ron had with Aragog. (side note: I am NOT fearful of snakes or spiders). Also, every time I hear Hermione say "She's a little sensitive" to describe Moaning Myrtle, I always have the same first thought: A LITTLE sensitive?"* *Side note: I always have the thought of "Harry's lucky Fawkes clawed out the Basilisk's eyes, otherwise that rock trick in the tunnel wouldn't have worked at all", combined with "Don't you dare sneeze, Harry"*
TBF snakes have an excellent sense of smell not to mention with the heat sensing pits in it's snout it should have known exactly where Harry was eyes or not but it's a fictional story and Joanne Rowling likely didn't know that so we roll with it.
@ronweber1402 Yup. Snakes use their tongues to aid their sense of smell, but from what I've researched, only pit vipers like rattlesnakes have heat sensor pits, which work better in low light settings.
Great reaction guys to a enjoyable harry potter movie. Kylie really enjoyed it glad u were there Olver to explain some of the confusing stuff for her. Big thumbs up
My favorite thing about the HP movies is that, to me, they are closer to the books than any other movie series I’ve ever watched. It’s hard to do that. I absolutely loved the books so much and the movies are great. I read the books in my 40’s when they first came out and I still watch the movies any time they’re on TV. I’m actually re-watching all of them now on Peacock.
Voldimort used magic to make a copy of himself as a memory in this book. He can exist outside of the book as his current self while a memory of him at age 16 exists in the diary. That's how this is meant to make sense right now. The story keeps being complicated from now on. Good luck.
49:12 What do you mean saying "No", Oliver!? Thats exactly what happened, she get it right. Diary was found by Jenny and she opened it. Of course i know that Voldemort gave diary to Lucius and tell him that it can open Chambers of Secrets(i think this little moment is not a spoiler and you could tell Kylie about it) but we don't think the full plan how Chambers of Secrets should be opened again. It could be several ways. 53:17 You should not say like this! This kind a hints at next mvoies and books and should be considered like spoiler!
I really enjoyed your reaction, especially Kylie for obvious reasons. So much that I had to subscribe. The only complaint I have is I am having trouble hearing ya’ll. I can hear the movie fine but you guys speaking is too low. Don’t want to miss a comment. Please keep reacting to great movies. Also, consider reacting to Firefly. My favorite show but canceled way too soon.
Why apologize to someone you didn't directly accuse? If your 3 movies ahead then only comments about the last 3 movies could be a spoiler. I couldn't believe it when I discovered that the actress who plays Moaning Mirdle was around 34 when she did Chamber of Secrets.
Man.. I know this is irrevelant but... You can tell how much she loves him by the way she looks at him. I've never seen that on UA-cam. LOL

Again, don't worry about shedding tears. I shed tears watching reaction videos. LoTR is the hardest one to keep dry eyes for.

That last scene and Harry saying "It's not Hogwarts without you Hagrid" hits me different since we lost Robbie Coltrane.😢
"You will watch this movies, in 50 years time, easily. Sadly, i will not be here...but Hagrid will. YES" *Robbie Coltrane

Out of topic, but Kylie reminds me of Kate Hudson's character in Almost Famous.
The concept of the diary is indeed a bit confusing. It's mostly because of dark magic (+ some things that will be explained later).
Voldimort used magic to make a copy of himself as a memory in this book. He can exist outside of the book as his current self while a memory of him at age 16 exists in the diary. That's how this is meant to make sense right now.
