This music to be seen and not just heard. The master musicians make this music worth seeing at concerts because we are witnessing them play what seems impossible look effortless.
Interesting that this legendary session trio here have all the same age. And all of them playing just perfect-as they've done for decades. Inspiring. Compare the longevity of a jazz musician like them-who is obsessive about improving himself and exploring new grounds-to the one of a typical rock dude-who wants to live recklessly and do the same shit, music-wise and behavior-wise, all his life-and you see what kind of life you should lead if you want to live a fulfilling long life doing what you love. I think the secret is to have a vision, that is, to look up to the future, and not just be aborbed in the urge to satisfy of the present moment. A vision is something that expands to the future, and it makes you behave in a way that doesn't compromise your future, which leads to a more satisfying and vast life overall.
World have been better with Wayne Shorter and no guitar or a less metal sounding guitarist though the guy is quite good, just not my cuppa tea. Greg is always so precise.

I see some comments saying "boring music" but I disagree. It's an opinion, not a fact... It's cerebral music and I can hear influences from The Police, Dream Theater and Rush. Vinnie Colaiuta is a drummer I respect a lot and I think that being low profile in this performance serves the song. What I would say though is that the cymbals seem to flood the sound of the drums in the mix and the toms seem to not cut enough in the mix as well, but it's still enjoyable to listen to the whole. Good job!
V.C.'s drums and cymbals sound great. The cym's blend in nicely with the drums. Many times cym's seem to be "on top" of the kit when it come to a blend or balance but these don't stick out uncomfortably at all.
I would have said the same about the keyboard sound, so I guess it's always up to one's taste. The guitar is maybe a bit too high in the mix, though, but the tone is still quite soft and not too shrill
Two of the best Worldwide musicians ever! Colauita and East. Everyone did the job as it should be but I think East saved the jam with its accompanying solidity. On other issues: I'm worried that Vinnie is gaining weight and his future health can be affected!
