When I was a little kid, my mom had one with Cragar's on it. I seen a picture of it, but I was too little to remember. Thanks for watching. Good to hear from you!
As a brazilian gearhead and owner of a brazilian model 1993 Chevette L. I can say this video is so satisfing to watch and see the diferrencs of the two countryes.
That steering wheel is worth some money! And you have all the parts for it too! Just swap the "Chevette" center for a "Bowtie" and clean it up! I've sold a lot of those wheels at the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. Pull that engine out and put in a Small Block! Thanks for the great video! Your Son done great too!
I owned the same year same color Chevette, It was a good Car Great on Gas, 5 years It was My going to work car, and Owned a 69 grand prix sj as my Regular car
Let me guess that’s a Chevette. It’s a stick shift. I remember that my parents had one matter fact my mom had one I learned how to drive in one of those that’s a cool car to have.
Thats painful to watch. Applying brute force to everything. Plundering viking style. No proper tools. 6 pounder sledge hammer, chisel, brutely pulling everything, while the other feller armed with crowbar and hammer taking out entrails. Not mindful that those parts may hard to find in the future. come on brothers. Forcing the old engine to drink without cleaning the lines and holes.
Memories. I had an 82 Chevette and it was a good little car.

My grandparents had one of these. Remember it very well. It was a good little car.
I think you're right. I never heard anyone say something bad about a chevette!
@Backroadjunk I think it would be cool to see that one back on the road. It looks like it had low mileage when it was parked.
Glad I happened upon your channel. Thanks for sharing these adventures. -Justin

I should hire you for a parts guy! I bet we'd make a fortune! That 66 you got is looking good! Thanks for watching.
Guys unbolt the steering collar, and you can unbolt it, and wire for spark
I knew there was probably an easier way. Thanks for watching!
I had three Chevettes. Loved them all. Wished I had them again instead of these new cars.
My first car was a 1980 Chevette and I drove it to college in 1992.
I owned the same year same color Chevette, It was a good Car Great on Gas, 5 years It was My going to work car, and Owned a 69 grand prix sj as my Regular car
You can take transmission fluid and pour down the spark plug holes and let set over night. Did that to one and it came back around
I think your right, We should have tried that. Thanks for watching!
0:42 I can't imagine one with AC. My 87 4dr had power steering and power brakes! I don't miss it 😆
Back then we didn't have ac or a inside toilet!
That battery is twice maybe 3 times to big for that little motor ! That’s why it’s spinning like there’s 24 volts running through it ! ⚡️
I think your right someone else said that too!
Motor turned over fast maybe to many amps on that big battery 😅
That battery was half dead.
With manual, it was easy to snap the linkage, because it wouldn't go into reverse.
Perfect platform to do an engine swap.
Sleeper grocery getter!
I can't figure out why the ether caused the engine to turn over super fast.
Someone said it had low compression. I don't know.
I worked for a car rental company that rented these cars, they were ok.
Thats cool they were rental cars I would have never thought that. Thanks for watching!
Be sure and check the balancer bolt!
Will do! Thanks for watching!
My first car was a 85 chevette automatic
Thats cool, you never forget your first car!
Joie Chitwood, drove a Chevette in ChiPS, (NBC Series).

Tell me, are you going to throw away the license plate or leave it on the car? ZCB-297 ?
its been with the car that long .
My uncle drove his into the ground.
And a lot of other people did too. Thanks for watching!
I believe you boys were mispronouncing the name of this car it's not Chevette it's shove it
You might be right.
Matter of opinion, but as a Chevette owner, There were times I wanted to "Shove It". Off the nearest bluff. LOL.

I’d leave it in the woods
That's what the guy that had it said too. Thanks for watching.
You cannot even make a basic Chevette run... your parents should not be siblings, that might help.
we didn't get it to run but we were taught that if you can't say nothing nice don't say nothing at all..
i had a 1980, a 1981, and a 1982, 1980 was the best, 81 and 82 were turds, 1000 bucks for all three
At least you got a good one out the bunch. Thanks for watching!
