That song would be great to hear live, but even if this band played it, it still wouldn't sound real because the OriGinal singer on 'Life Is So Strange' is Howard Scott, and he's not "allowed" to call himself a member of WAR anymore. 1ofthedrews This Is War. Lonnie is the only one of the original players to have the right to use the name. The others, have to use the lowrider band.
But can't you pretty much say that of just about every band that's withstood the test of time? .. for it's only with extreme rarity that the original members of 'any' popular group stay together for almost 60 years... be it a parting of interests, deaths, or whatever the case. (A little background history: "The group began in 1962, (the year I was born!), in Long Beach, CA, (the town I was born in!) and was initially called, "The Creators"...") The only real question is, whether their fans will, or will not, accept the current incarnation; and since you do not, why bother saying "This is not "WAR"(?) The 'spirit' of the band is there, whether embraced by you,... or not. (With all due respect.)
It reminds me of how Lynyrd Skynyrd should actually be calling themselves "The set of musicians currently licensed to call themselves 'Lynyrd Skynyrd'".

In the 70's, when War played live there was just music. That's the old War. Now today Lonnie Jordan talks to much. War live albums are not that good. Listen to the live War in the 70's there better than today's War....!
steve martinez that’s good to know. Going to see them here in Atlanta on November 17. I was born in 1970 so I don’t have the same reference that a lot of other people have. Thanks!
