Very helpful, thanks a lot! It surprised me that I couldn't umderstan how to change the alarm clock time by just reading the manual when I know the British usually have the most detailed instructions for everything! The video definitely did its work. I love my Lumie!
Lumie people, are you serious? This is ridiculously complicated. For something that is supposed to simplify life (and I'm sure it does as you get such high reviews), why do you use to same three buttons for everything? It took me ages to get the time to buy this and now that I have it, it's so disappointing. Can't get past setting the times. When I set the alarm under Set A and then the time under SET C it doesn't save the information. Not very reliable if you want to wake up for work. Good demonstration but it's really not that simple after all.
seriously the lumie is the most underwhelmingly complicated and cheap system. Theres just absolutely no excuse why the interface should be based off something in the early 1950's. Seems like a great item, bought online with glowing reviews. I honestly doubt its an inability I have. Nothing is more peaceful in the morning than having to click and hold the minus button for like 10 seconds or how about the 79% chance that you could hit the wrong button and god help you then, find your way to the demo mode? you have to unplug it to get it to switch off......
Using it for 6 years I still cant understand how to catch time setting while clicking through by central button. Every time I manage to do it accidentally and feeling lucky.
Im very tech minded but this clock is far too complicated to set up. In a world we live in today, whats wrong with setting it up with a better screen etc? Its 2018 not 1988!
Wasn't the same as the clock I received. I think for the price that I paid, I shouldn't be endlessly fiddling trying to figure this out. The fact that I don't have a 12-hour option on this clock is also very frustrating...I don't know what the heck 22:00 means. Holding down the middle button for two seconds on my clock does nothing. I may send this back.
I just replaced my Lumie with the same model (or so I thought) but it has a blue backlight that I cant turn off and no Fn mode. Were earlier models like this?
Hi Teish, thank you for reaching out! Starter 30 and other older models have been discontinued. Sounds like you upgraded to either Shine 300 or one of the Luxe models? If you're unsure, check the label on the bottom of the unit. While there's no Fn mode per se in the new models, you can switch off the display or turn it to 'low'. Here're the 'how-to' videos for Shine 300 ua-cam.com/video/GgWAcnw_1qs/v-deo.html and for Luxe ua-cam.com/video/B-cPxobAuSc/v-deo.html. If you need any further assistance, drop us a line at info@lumie.com :)
Hello! Not quite sure what you mean? Are you asking if the globe gets hot? It is normal for our older style halogen models to become very warm, this is due to the bulb and the plastic lamp cover. However they shouldn’t be too hot to touch or burn you. However if you are concerned, we offer a repair service here and we can take a look at your unit for you.
Hey Bet! Sorry to hear that - would you rather we talked you through it? You can contact us on our Customer Careline on 01954 780500 (Mon - Fri 09:30 - 17:30)
@@LumieLights no thats ok, i found a video by someone else that explained it better. You should add or do a vid on how to use your Lumie after set up. Just that little extra step from you guys would be helpful
Yay 😀 My lumie is still going strong...had to come here to find the instructions again!

I am confused
Not the easiest alarm clock to set. However the results are amazing for getting up in the winter.
Got mine today, Can’t wait to try it out!
Very easy instructions. Don't know why people think it's so complicated?
And presented by a lovely young lady 😘
Bruh how were you getting horny on a video tutorial for setting up an alarm clock
Thanks! I'd forgotten how to reset the time and had a power outage
Friday night mode??
Very useful, much more than the manual. And it's slightly tongue-in cheek as well, which is amusing.
Super helpful video, thanks for posting! :)

still can't use this
Perfect instructions. Thank you.

I won’t lie, isn’t the easiest to set up but once you get it it’s easier, just set it up. Will update tomorrow if it worked!
Thanks so much!
How do you get it into alarm mode? display is still on even tho off selected
Well, I’ve never known a set of instructions that are so user unfriendly. I feel like a raving lunartick! After that,

Paul Somerville Got to agree with you.
haha yeah "hold both the plus and minus buttons - FN will appear on the screen. This stands for Friday Night mode" - erm...okay?
It was seven years ago this product was made 🤦♀️
When I hold the + button, I can't get the light to go back off again without cutting the power, how is that supposed to work?

How stupid are you
Shannon M it’s in 24 hour clock mode. Did you not learn this at primary school? High time you learnt. It’s really easy. 22:00 means 10pm.

Very helpful. Thanks.
How do I change/ stop the alarm just for one night? I can’t find it anywhere, am I being blind 🤦♀️
utterly and needlessly complicated.
Ha ha
Thank you!
Not a easy set up....... sometimes the sunrise comes on sometimes it don't..... wish I can send it back.

Do the settings stay for the following days or does it need to be set again
You have to set it each day
Friday Night mode makes no sense. you just say “that’s friday mode” no context. is there a monday mode??
I've tried 3 bulbs and I've got a couple of flashes of light but then nothing at all.
when I hold down until it says SETa but then instead of going to the alarm time it goes to the amount of time I want the sunrise to take, any help???
This model doesn't give you the choice of how long the sunrise takes. Sounds like you have a different model.
Mine didn't come up with the option set a

@@LumieLights it is the modal that is shown in the video and whenever the sun light is on for more than 2 minutes it starts to warm up quite a lot.
It doesn't burn me though It was just that I wasn't sure if it was ment to.
How much can 3 little buttons do - Holy Moly!
not enough, the thing is a nightmare
Wait til you discover smartphones
My lumie is flashing lights like I’m in a rave, this can’t be right!!
im a bit late to the party by why did that take me 15 minutes that was so stressful, the system is so not user friendly haha i feel stupid.
Most confusing interface design ever.
Im still confused

I think I would understand it better if you had a few more buttons undone.
...but there are only 3 buttons?! 😉
