Looks very good to me. I knew you were not going to be able to weld the spring steel back and have it work. But you did make a new one and that was your best option. I bet deer antler would have looked equally good as well. But the end results with the scales you used worked great. Thumbs Up!
I knew right away that you had your work cut out for you. Looks awesome. Take pride in your accomplishment there. Good job. Knives are great! Switchblades are very great.
I have seen so many of your videos I know what’s coming and how good your work is but I’m always blown away at the end!! Thank you for sharing your talent!! It brings me joy to see these items brought back to life!!
10/10. I would have given a 9/10, but you replaced the spring bar (better than wield repair). Got 6/10 just because of those bakelite scales. They turned out beautifully. I really need to consider getting some old bakelite material from the flea markets and whatnot, just to remake handles with. I had no idea it could look that nice.
Very nice work !!! Your attention to detail is amazing !!! 10 all the way for me !! I love the handle material I think is amazing how you take something that is broken and missing parts and put it back together....better than brand new !! You have a real gift all the work you put in shows in the end !!! Fantastic work !!! 👍👍
You saved it from being thrown into the the garbage and from the switchblade community, I thank you. It may have started out life as a cheap switchblade, but now, it's a nice switchblade. Thanks. 😊
It's a 10. I'm no expert but when I saw that spring broken, I know It couldn't be fixed by welding, because the heat would make it lose the temper. Making another spring was the right choice, and I noticed you kept it cool while sanding. The result was great.
Wonderful job. In the USA, it varies by state and even county. Where I live, they are fully legal and if I am carrying a knife in my pocket instead of a sheath knife on my belt, it’s most often a Smith & Wesson M&P OTF switchblade.
10/10 easy. In the UK knives with any kind of assisted opening are illegal to own, as are balisong (butterfly) knives. And recently zombie knives. For a knife to be legal carry it has to a) have a blade less than 3 inches, b) not have any lock mechanism, c) 2-hand opening d) you need a good reason to be carrying it.
I rate a 9 for the skill for the job, the appearance and functionality of the knife, and the video .... sorry I rarely give perfect 10's for anything .... gotta leave room for any possible improvement ;o)
restoration is perfect!! In Japan, of coarse this type of knives is illegal. it's a pity that Japanese government restricts almost all of the EDC tools.
That little knife was built for crime and little else, but I'd love to own it! What a great result, nice job! What do you know of it's history? Hand-made? By who?
That was a 10 for sure. That bakelite really made it look great. I like switchblades, too.

Love the Bakelite Marbling effect. Complements the polished finish of the metal. 10 - 10 - 10.
10/10 and I love the way the Bakelite turned out!!!
Beautiful restoration mister beautifully restored well done
Thanks!
Just wanted to ask you if you can restore a knife for me?
I have seen so many of your videos I know what’s coming and how good your work is but I’m always blown away at the end!! Thank you for sharing your talent!! It brings me joy to see these items brought back to life!!
Very nice work! You were correct to make a new spring. Welding an old one will only hold for so long.
Beautiful craftsmanship
The quality of your restorations improves with every project

Beautiful...another 10 out of 10!
In the U.S. it’s state to state, some allow some don’t! Good restoration, saved one! Definitely better than new!
Very nice work indeed ❤

Обалдеть, классная реставрация. Ножичек обрёл вторую жизнь. Спасибо, лайкаю.
10. Beautiful knife❤
10 for the restoration.
What I’d like to see is a more desirable switchblade frame where you fabricate a high quality blade to put back in it .
10 out of 10 for sure! perfect job!

Nice job 10/10

I hope you're wearing a respirator when working on that Bakelite part considering Bakelite often contained asbestos.
I rate a 9 for the skill for the job, the appearance and functionality of the knife, and the video .... sorry I rarely give perfect 10's for anything .... gotta leave room for any possible improvement ;o)
Definitely 10 bro you made it look brand new keep these vids coming
Another 10/10
10. Very nice
Definitely a 10. Outstanding craftsmanship
10/10 bravo !
Wonderful renovation. For me 11 Pt.
Looks great, but don't count on that welded spring staying welded for very long. You get a 8 on the restoration because of the welded spring.
10/10 PERFECT ! 👍
Absolument 10/10
I ❤ my dose of Sunday "fake rust“ 😅😂😅
10 also for the great video production!
Passione ❤
Beautiful! The handle is awesome!
Гарна робота!
Wwhat a great job ,😅🎉
Really nice !! Why didn't you put a safety switch for the button?
The safety switch is in your mind or it isn't no extra one needed..
restoration is perfect!!
