    Greg from northern Michigan. I added two 90 degree male hydraulic quick couplings to the two outboard hose locations and rotate them upward to provide more wheel clearance. Aiming them downward reduces wheel clearance.
    I also added two extra skids to the JD 59 inch snowblower housing because I have a very long gravel driveway. The original ones are installed on the inside of the housing, and the other two are installed on the outside using the same mounting thru holes. That way, I keep the gravel on my driveway instead of blowing it into the woods 😀.
    As far as a hydraulic snowblower shoot deflector control, I installed a Merit Racing double shaft seal electric actuator setup. It us easy to install and wire up using a simple three position rocker switch setup with open neutral position.
    The tractor axle housinga are made from either standard grey iron or higher strength nodular iron material, not aluminum. The axle shafts are made from heat treated steel material. The axle housings and internal shaft bearings carry the overhanging bending moments from total weight being carried.
    Nice video as always.

    I loved this video. I have a JD 2320. I'm actually going to be buying some spacers because I have a JD 7100 2-row planter...and the tractor wheels pack the soil down tight at the same place/width as the opener blade on the planter. So, I want my tires (both front and back) wider than the planting trench so they don't pack the soil down before the planter opens up the soil trench for planting seeds. I do have some hilly terrain that I mow also (I mow about 6 acres) with my 72-inch finishing mower that pulls behind the tractor, so I'm sure that the spacers will also provide some extra stability there too. One negative comment I will make on the video is the video itself. Whoever is holding the camera was giving me motion-sickness. The panning from left to right was so fast that it was making me dizzy.

    I'll subscribe to anyone that says God bless. Wish I had your toys lol. I've been researching John deer and bobcat tractors for my next purchase. So far I'm leaning towards deer. Mainly due to visual ability of the front end attachments. In a bobcat I hear you literally can't see your bucket out of the cab like at all. That makes work harder so I'm back to deer. Keep up the good videos sir.

      Thank Adam. There are so so many good tractors in the market. take your time. Kubota, Kioti are also very good. John Deere is probably the easiest to remove and install attachments. Great video. I have a 2025r. Looking to purchase a 3R series for snow blowing, brush hogging, tilling, and using a land plane. I’m looking at a 3033r but am wandering if it will be enough power. Did you tap in to that 46hp in your day to day use ?

      DRO I had an open station 3033 which was a 33hp tractor with the same snow blower. It was very nice, but I must say the extra hp in the 4046R was nice when snow blowing and using the belly mower. I preferred the additional hp. Either would be a nice tractor. Pete, thanks. I recently subscribed to you...I have been searching for some insight to this exact option for my 2019 enclosed cab JD3039R.
    My LandPro dealer told me that it would void any warranty by putting any spacers on my tractor. However, I feel extremely unsafe while using my tractor in any terrain or use. I know exactly what you are referring to, I thought it was just me. It is a very uneasy and strange feeling that it might tip over....
    I was under the impression that if you use spacers, you need to duplicate them in the front. So if I get 6" spacers in the rear, I need 6" in the front as well? Can you confirm?
    I do not use my tractor for any commercial, heavy construction or farming. I use it merely make my property work easier and enjoy having one.
    The actual stress on my rear axles is one thing but 6" on the front might be?
    Your thoughts?
    I am also located very near you, so the weather is the same. But I use a rear mounted snowblower ..... that changes things.
    Scott

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  3 роки тому +1

      Scott call Landpro in Alexander they sold me the spacers and sent me to look at 6" spacers on another machine. That upsets me that they told you that...i don't think the loader could be used without the spacers. Front...6" is big for the front, i would suggest you consider just flipping the rims and see how you like it. I don't think the front width had to match the rear, the factory doesn't doe it, and i don't either. For loader work rear ballast is a must, my tires have about 800 lbs of juice and sometimes i add the ballast box or box scraper on the rear. E-mail me some pics of your tractor working...love that. I hope this helps ask again if needed. thank you

      The front axle is on a pivot, so spacers on the front don’t really do much for stability. Only if the the rear tire lifted up and front axle pivoted to where it hit the stops, would front axle width matter. (Remember when tractor’s had narrow front tires, almost like a tricycle? ) I wouldn’t (edit) widen front tires if you have a drive over mower that you can no longer drive over. p.s. Sometimes there are traction advantages to not having front and rear tires in the same track ripping up the same ground.

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  3 роки тому +2

      @@CobyRupert you are correct except tractors with narrow front tires didn’t use loaders or they were little shovel loaders. I’ve lifted my rear tires even with spacers and juice filled, spacer on the front help when the tractors front suspension is maxed at tilt. I like a wider front and I believe jd has narrow front tire spacer for mid mower and other front attachments. My opinion wider is better Stay healthy 🙂

      I must have been wearing my Sig...if i don't have time to chamber around i'm done in. I'll take that risk in my garage. It should be right...stay strong and carry

      No mid pro on a 4 series is correct, they were around for one year along time ago. I have a permit to carry a pistol, and was a reserve Sheriff for 20 years. Thank you

    imo the ideal small acreage tractor would be a 4066r 'if' they'd put a mid mount mower on it.

      Chris i thought it use to have a midmount mower. Believe me i like that tractor, but it won't fit in my garage, i can't add a front mount snow blower...for now the 3046R is the perfect tractor. Ugh the 4066 is sweet. Stay safe and thank you for watching.
