If they can get the power drain down to a trickle, it won’t matter if it’s slower-it will absolutely rock the Apple Watch. I would love to ditch the phone for a Apple watchphone.
I don't know know why I read this wrong, in my mind, but I was thinking "Router" or internet Modem for home. i.e. a new version of Airport Extreme. Which although they can be bridged, they are not mesh. Apple should do a Mesh Network system to also include the Apple TV device. In fact, as an alternative, they could make a house of Apple TV's Mesh capable to also include any new Airport Extreme routers added. Just a thought.
I still wonder is Apple trying to build what amounts to a singular chip combining 3GPP LTE, 3GPP NR 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6 and UWB all at once. Using TSMC's latest 3 nanometer process, it could tremendously reduce the size of the circuit board inside the iPhone, which means more room for a bigger battery and/or a thinner phone (aka. the much-rumored iPhone 17 Air model).
Everyone who buys an iPhone typically buys the best phone. That’s the issue, if your financially pressured you still want the best phone and don’t settle for the basic phone but work to get the best phone
As a former 4G Qualcomm Systems Engineer, I can say : The modem is EASY to build. The software : impossible.
why is it impossible ?
Apple used to build good software, but they haven’t in years.
@@RoastBeefSandwich Hopefully companies will start hiring based on qualifications and experience again.
Why is that? Genuine question (I’m a mechanical engineer). Thanks!
@@Matt-Holdren Qualcomm designed it to be impossible because they own all the intellectual property.
Leo the Lion is rockin the Greatful Dead shirt.
They already have the patent for it. Was approved in July
What is the name of the digital display in the background of Jason Snell’s video feed displaying the time and where can I buy one or is it DIY?
@wilty5 Jason is using a 'Lametric Time'. lametric.com/en-US

We have drifted toward a world where a phone is an electronic swiss army knife. There may be room for a phone as a swiss watch

Not everyone - if that were true, Apple wouldn’t build cheaper models.
@ I’ll bet the disparity between the pro and regular are wide by a large margin
@@joelswfx In the US at least Apple sells more Pro Max than anything else, but they still sell a boat load of the other models as well.
Andy, king of answering a simple question with a 4000 word response. Ugh.
Andy (why use 30 words on your response when you can use 300?) Ihnatko!
Leo, king of the goofballs, but still so entertaining and fun.
