- The Fishing Monthly Team love doing comparison tests, so it was a no brainer to head to Coffs Harbour and team up with Thwaites Marine to do a head to head test on a side console and centre console Stacer Crossfire 519. Both powered by a E-Tec 115hp motor. It was a great morning on the water. Which boat would suit you the best?

Feel sorry for any Evinrude customer. After 2024 when most of warranties are gone I can not see they will continue supporting their motor. It is business after all. Very hard to sell one if you own one. There are a lot of good second hand boats on Facebook marketing rocking Evinrude, they are not moving any soon.
They need a perma trim to give a bit of nose down and trim range

I'm not sure if 3.4km/L is ever possible. Maybe on a strip out super light 5m tinny on 21" prop??? 2.7km/L also for light alloy boats. Expect to get 2.5 at the best on glass boats. And thats for cruising steady on smooth water. Offshore ull use alot more

Insane economy, ridiculous for a 115. Second table says top speed 50kmhr @4000rpm doesn't seem right?

They are both fitted with maximum HP. Doesn’t feel like that in the water.👌
Looks dumpy and Ungainly. Too much freeboard.
