- Astra is a transcendental and supernatural weapon created by the gods and presided over by a specific Deity. To summon or use an Astra, one must have the necessary knowledge, that is, the specific mantra that will arm, direct and disarm Astra. In Mahabharata, Arjuna had more Astra than any other warrior. Arjuna had almost all Astra except Narayanastra.
the Mahabharata contains the story of a great battle fought between Pandavas and Kauravas. Within this sacred account, there are references to some highly advanced devastating weapons, of which the most severe may have been Brahmastra. The descriptions of these weapons clearly indicate an advanced science that possibly existed.
I'm reading the Mahabharata right now. Such an amazing book. More and more there is evidence that ancient texts are not myth, but history. The spiritual and scientific knowledge is staggering.

In the Mahabharata, only Arjuna, and in the Ramayana, only the sage Vishvamitra and Rama possessed the Pashupatastra. Also, Narayanastra, This astra ("celestial weapon" in Sanskrit) fires a volley of millions of deadly missiles simultaneously, the intensity of which rises in proportion to the resistance of the target. The only way to defend against the Narayanastra is, therefore, to show total submission before the missiles hit, which would cause them to stop and spare the target. It is one of the six 'Mantramukta' weapons that cannot be resisted. It was also said that it could be used only once in a war; if one tried to use it twice, it would devour the user's own army. .. I like the the whole Astra's including thrisul of Siva.but my favorite is the three arrows in the quiver of Barbarick son of Gadol-kuch ,grandson of Bhima,the Unknown powerful Warrior who was watching the entire Mahabharata war .In the order of lord Krishna he was made to stand outside and watch because lord Krishna was the only person who knows the real player in the battle field because he can finish the entire Mahabharata war in just Two minutes. So,Krishna asked him not to come for war.also in return barbaric requested Krishna to cut his head and place it in the high hills so he can view the war.and this was made accordingly and barbarick was able to view everything without intrupting the war.
"Brahmanda Astra is mentioned to be used only once in Satyayuga in the war between Maharshi Vishwamitra and Bramharshi Vasishtha over the projection for superiority within both Rishis. The Brahmanda Astra soaked all powers and effects of Pashupatastra, Narayanastra and Brahmashirshastra."

You gave ver good insight for those who said karn was the most powerful warrior with all thweapons although arjun had Shiva weapon.
Karna never had one because he never wanted one.. He was more into proving himself using the simplest astra that anyone can use.. Not like Arjuna who was using special astra.. You will know after reading Mahabharata that who was more capable because there are more than 1 instances where Lord Krishna tells us who was more powerfull between them and the perfect example is how they have to kill Karna in the war, because if they won't there were no other chance to defeat them.. Now its all you.. Its your choice whom you choose to be the better worrior between them..
God cheated karna to win the war...this is enough to prove that karna was the most powerful warrior...now it's all upto u to believe it or not....🤷

People in India should collaborate with major toy companies like Mattel to make toy astras, and promote sales of the said toys by doing really good film adaptations of the Mahabharat, so that people who watch the films will think, "Gee, I'd like to have that astra, too." Please, I'm not being sarcastic. Make the toy astras really good-looking, perhaps make them battery-operated so they can glow and make sounds. I'd love to own a toy version of Shiva's trident. (Made nicely, of course.) :)
