Great video guys... makes us wanna be at the track
The 3K Racing Team 8
Dat was cool,wow nice motors,both
Just recently got a all billet Star motor on a 09Xxx chassis hope it has that much power in it
The 4 stroke has more low revs grunt and is more suited to a short circuit like this compared to the mid to high revs power of the Parilla 2 stroke. On a longer circuit the parilla would blow the 4 stroke into the weeds.
or just gear the 2 stroke accordingly and blow the 4 stroke out of the milky way any time any place
Its all about gearing
What size and power are these 2strokes? Are they parilla iame 100ccs? What hp can you squeeze out of one? And what clutch do you use? Ive got a 295cc air cooled sachs wankel on mine with a noram enforcer clutch. Want to build a 2stroke single now. Anyone run a yamaha sr292 before? Ive heard you can get crazy numbers out of them Cheers
the second cart is fast as hell
That 52 is running a Tecumseh star and that motor was from Denver Colorado and at one time that motor was $3,000 and it makes over 70 hp
I think maybe your being a touch gullible on the horsepower there! I have a 350 stroker big bore 250r Honda quad and it just gets above 75. Mine is race ported by CT, V-Force reeds, CT aftermarket cylinder, CT expansion chamber, 40 mm carb, high comp piston, and race gas. Any body that tells you that flathead was putting out 79 horse is trying to pound sunshine up your backside just so you know!
Dyno results don't lie my dude
Matthew Moilanen I still have my Tecumseh star and I was clocked last year going 95 on Bloomington speedway now iam a pretty big boy roughly 265 (which is why I run open class) me and the kart is roughly 550-600 punds and trust me that motor has power.
Definitely not 70 horsepower lol, I've had quite a few open Tecumseh's and mine ran every bit as good as that one and mine were somewhere around 35 - 40 hp
That's bullshit horsepower on the 4 cycle. And I own a dyno. If its a Clements motor..nuff said.
ones a putter and ones a screacher!! lol
Is That a k 30
I rather have the 4 stroke any day man this brings up so many memories I raced in 88 and 89 with bug lighting kart east Tenn brigs all the way my kart looked like rusty Wallace car lol
you ever ran at the dump
Man what is that 52 kart running that thing is a beast. Is this track still around
Prelude Dude Si,
A modified Parilla Sudam. Fremont Raceway Park is still in operation. Facility has a kart asphalt road course track and a banked dirt oval track.
That was me driving, that star engine was a beast!
@@MillhouseDSM what motor is that I'm new to all this.
@@dustybellamy5670 the 52 kart was mine, I was running a tecumseh Star engine. They are kind of hard to come by. It was built by clements out in Arizona I believe
Still impressed at what the little smokers can do. The 450s and Jawas have taken over now though. I have a Jawa 889 and been thinking about a ktm 690. Sucks how much money you have to spend to stay competitive.
where are the goats kept ?
nice !!!
2banger
I don't know why they seem scared to slide the karts through the turns. They do know they are on clay right?
It's slower to slide then threw the turn. Yes they make more power then a normal motor but it ends up slowing you down.
Spinnin ain't winnin
Are they running slick tires in a dirt track?
Robert Heinkel, Yes. My understanding it reduces deterioration to the track surface as the race day progresses. Sounded like track surface got really rough and rutted for a jarring ride.
1960skart exactly you run slick on dirt..same for late models etc every thing on dirt you turn with your ass and basically drift that turn. You ride treaded tires on dirt. Basic knowledge
I miss racing karts before the wka screwed it up
How did they screw it up
Snotty little karts!
get the tractor out of the infield before someone gets killed
Couldn't be a more dangerous track configuration.
You have the out pit at the end of the Apex for turn 2 ?????
And all those boys standing trackside between pit out and pit in ?
Pit in should be on the exit of turn 1
Pit out should be on the main straight.
My 2cts.
Take a look at how Lebanon Valley and a hundred other tracks are laid out.
I raced for 14 years and literally never saw a track like you mentioned. most have pit out at turn 1 and pit in coming off of 4
B
Real racing karts don't have pull starters.
Some do
...So sayeth trust fund baby Gumby.
Need to learn how to drive first then get some horsepower
Actually was the first outing of the day. Both are veteran and successful kart racers on dirt and paved ovals, and paved Sprint road course kart tracks. The one is also a winning 410 Sprint Car racer. Childhood friends testing the karts’ limits of the day’s track characteristics. Although the sun was out, it was a cold day.
Yep. I agree. Pretty evident. Not much talent there. But, their having fun. That's what counts.
Agree that they were having fun out there. Cap last Saturday in the 410 Winged Sprint Car he has been racing this year...
