Nice group. Yea I was gonna say those SST shoot well but can be fragile. I like the conventional 129 interloc. Remember all these BT are merely a HP with a plastic plug. But the lead tip 129 has been good for me in the 6.5x55 and ).5/06. In the '06 they are over 3k and 2700 ish in the '55
I also prefer the soft point interlock. I was really excited when I learned the American Whitetail line was the regular old interlock…and then I saw the standard deviation. Back to hand loading…
Well CO your new Mauser is quite interesting. The 260 has been around a while now and makes me wonder why the 6.5 Creedmore was ever invented. I think you'll find enough bullet choices to make you dizzy. Can never go wrong with Nozzler for hunting. Give the good old Partition a shot. (Pun intended)
I bought a remington mountain rifle 700 LSS in 260 when they first came out could not even find reloading data at first over the years I am sold on 120 nosler BT sierra 120 pro hunter 140 game king . Hornady not so much thats my little whim
Another good video, Tom. You’re starting to peak my interest in building a rifle on the Mauser action. Now, just to decide which caliber to go with. Since I don’t own a .260, that may be the way to go.
I’ve always wanted a mouser 98 been very impressed by its accuracy and the history behind it love your information on this beautiful rifle
The Mauser 98 action design has been with us over 100 years, and it is still in use today.
Another GR8 video 🍀
Keep em' coming !
Love That Rifle 😀❤️
i had that problem with sst ,seems like they shot ok just don't like a bullet that comes apart
I’ve always liked the hornady interlock sp better than the st preferably the flat base has always been more accurate.
Nice group.

The 125-grain Partition is GOLD.

How do you luck into all these Mauser action rifles? lol nice find
That's a pretty good group. I've heard the 260 can be pretty finicky to load.
I was well pleased with the accuracy, especially considering that I can hand-load for it.
Tom ever reload any 22s
try the Speer Grand slam
