I genuinely wish I had been that little girls friend in this sort of situation. My ex girlfriend in highschool told me about her dad being extremely abusive to her and her two younger siblings. I'm a girl and my ex was a girl. Her dad, literally named Jason, had beat her younger siblings for dumb reasons. My ex got beat for trying to order me a single Pokemon card I wanted for my birthday.
As of today, I am still friends with my ex but she never talks to anyone. One of her siblings has been killing animals and such. Her other younger sibling is struggling severely with dealing with abuse from a partner.
I WANTED to tell the school about my ex's abuse by her father, but she told me if I told anyone she would be in even more trouble and I was terrified for her.
Parents like this suck. I feel guilty even to this day.

Just for all the mental stress & long nights staying awake worrying about what your ex’s father was doing to her.. As a single Father who’s daughter was molested by her Mothers new husband, unfortunately I can relate to this story. My ex-wife wrote letters on his behalf to the judge and she was trying to continue with her relationship and I obviously didn’t have any option, I immediately got OFP for both of my children and I raised my children without her. We had some hard times my daughter was 10 when it started and it went for quite a while so understandably she went through some very hard times. Thankfully she is doing so amazingly. She’s 24 married 3 children and a house, good job but also going to school. I can’t imagine what she went through but she is seriously my hero because she didn’t let it define her and she is so strong.

The sister did file for custody of the girls. She was awarded full custody of both girls & I’ve heard that they are doing much much better & they are getting very good grades in school now, they’ve picked up some sports, hobbies, etc. & really got into ice skating. The girls are doing wonderful with their Aunt & so much better without their “Mother”. The kids don’t even ask about their “Mother” & they do not even want to see her. The “Mother” hasn’t even contacted her sister to even ask how her own kids are doing. Smh. I’m just so glad they’re doing better.

I’ve been in the position that this young girl has been in (from the age 9 to 15 the woman that gave birth to me allowed her partner to do it to me.. she would catch him doin what he was doing throw him out but take him back days later for him to start again…)

@@kellsjoy3078 no no one was charged… I walked out wen I was 16 n moved 300 miles away from her I’ve never gone back… I did try to have a relationship with her a few yrs later wen I was 23 after I had my children (as she wasn’t wit him then) n she visited me once but I then found out more things about her n her son so did what any proper mother would do to protect my own children n told her to I’d never forgive her again… I’m 39 now n I’ve not seen Orr spoken to her since n she’s never been anywhere nr my children since xxx

I SOOO hope that if we would ever see an update on this episode, we would see that the Aunt is having permanent and fulltime custody of these kids (and hopefully are all doing great, being happy, healthy, empathetic, confident about themselves and each other inside their family unit, that the kids are having (or ‘have had’, since I don’t know when this episode aired originally) a good education and that they all are and proceed to be successful, well respected, well liked and just broadly fortunate in their lives!

I've been in abusive relationships in my past and yes sometimes I am scared because of the ptsd of it but I would KILL. KILL!!! for my kids if a man EVER laid a finger on them in ANY KIND OF WAY! How the fuck could this woman even...oh I could rage but at the end of the day the aunt has custody of her nieces and they're doing amazing she said so herself 😊
