Saludos, Roberto ! It is so nice to listen to the "early symphony" as a genre ! One would expect to hear lots of harmonic and melodic patterns later used by Haydn, Mozart, etc.
Hello Hector! I'm glad to know that you liked this work. It is interesting to see that one thing is born from another. This Symphony is in the middle period, early Clacisism. Here we can listen to the resources that Haydn and Mozar listened to. Thank you very much for your message!!!
One of the 160 (!) symphonies of Molter. To be frank, they are not as complex as later symphonies of the Viennese school but it's still an impressive number.
It is difficult to have all the symphonies of this composer. Certainly, the first symphonies (derived from the opera overture) were simpler and shorter than the symphonies that developed later. Thank you very much for your words, dear Jean-Baptiste!
I'm very much enjoying discovering Molter outside of trumpet works. He has a rather understated harmonic genius.
Enjoy it, friend !!!
Thank you Roberto Pintos for publishing these wonderful “forgotten” of music. This is one of the most beautiful Andantes I've ever heard.
This is only one of his 157 plus symphonies !

I have drawn inspiration from Molter and the lesser known composers of the mid Eighteenth Century for my own String Sinfonias.
