Thank you ma boy !

those unmarked units’ lighting is barely visible
I noticed that too. Now that’s a hazard…
@@sanbernardinocountyresponsesbc I wonder if it's just less visible in the video...but it looked like that unmarked Charger had a tinted windshield.
@@chpman2013 they are supposed to get like that
@@chpman2013 yes, it did have tinted window
They are not outfitted for day to day patrol and response. They just have lighting if they need to get somewhere, but normally not used.
The only light needed for any emergency vehicle in CA is one steady burn red light to the front.
These are swat members, so all they use them for is to get to a scene if they are not already in a patrol vehicle or coming from their residence, and for on scene ID, so they can get into a scene and park and other LE will know they are supposed to be there. That’s why they were taking the intersections extra slow and cautious to make sure they were seen.
Yeah they can use more lighting, but at the same time it’s not worth it to light them all up when the point is to try to fly under the radar. When the lights are not on. They have a bunch of expensive gear in the cars and if they have to park in a parking lot they don’t want to scream it’s a cop car so they don’t get broken into. One reason for the dark tint is to hide the stuff from the outside view and hide the lights from the outside too. If weapons are secured and locked but their vests and radios and helmets in the truck are not, so one window break, pop the trunk and it can be stolen and messed with.
poor guy was reppin 3rd street @ 1:55
I seen that. he tried so hard to look tough until he moved out the way on his own.
1:54 its a realy hard guy 🤣🤣🤣
Does anyone know why some units say police and some say sherriff on the side? In Texas we dont have units like this
someone else asked the same question. if you scroll down the comments of this video, you can find it
They are contract units that provide law enforcement exclusively to cities
@LACountyResponseMedia I guess I'm asking if anyone knows the significance of this? Where I live and I'm sure in most places our sheriff's dept patrols cities without their own police dept and even patrol some that do have their own police dept but all vehicles say sheriff's. Even some cities in Texas are patrolled by DPS Troopers but have never seen a change on the cars.
@@dallas75241 they use police because they act like it's a police department. Like i said before, they provide services exclusively to some cities and act like their own PD
@@CallMeAhSirHKP 😂 I don't think you understand my question but thanks for the input
`whats the name of the siren at 1:04
I think it’s Federal signal Smart Siren
Federal signal MS4000 🤘🏽
Ok so, why do the sheriff cruisers say *POLICE* if it’s SBSO not SBPD?
that I don't know really. I know that Highland Ca, Loma Linda, Rancho Cucamonga & Grand Terrace don't have they're own city police. so they use the sheriff units that say police on it
@@sanbernardinocountyresponsesbc ahhhhh I understand that a bit more, so I’m guessing it’s like the Spokane county sheriffs dept. in Washington where it’s pretty much a subdivision for a town police.
@@16firebuff by the sounds of it yes lol. kinda like that or maybe even exactly like that
Some cities like Highland CA contract with the sheriff dept for exclusive police services. They have dedicated vehicles that say "Police" and say highland. The blank ones that just say sheriff patrol unincorporated areas of the county but can assist city sheriff units when extra man power is needed.
Multiple cities within the county contract with the sheriff dept for exclusive police services. Their cars usually say police along with the name of the city they serve. Some are Highland, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda, Rancho Cucamonga, Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, and others.
1:50 😂
Why some of the sbcso have “police” on them instead of “sheriff”? I’m curious
“Police” are units assigned to the city’s detachment. SBC Sheriff does contract policing for nearby cities.
@@jasperli ohhh, thx for explaining, it helped me learn something new
Sounds like lapd sirens
It’s the exact same. But I think LAPD’s is a custom one. I don’t know really.
@@sanbernardinocountyresponsesbc LAPD doesn't have a custom siren, they just used the federal signal smart siren default tones. Same with San Bernardino county sheriff. Its very popular siren amongst police agencies and I think overall sounds pretty nice but isn't nearly as good as unitrol tones.
@@anthonyg13emergencyvideos exactly ! unitrol Does sound nice. also the fact that redlands fd medic squad uses the smart siren is kinda...... not so good
@@sanbernardinocountyresponsesbc no there sm2000's which is what sbcsd uses
@@andewclark8940they havnt used those in years since they don’t make them anymore, haven’t in about 10 years. The newer units have the SSB3000P, and they are not even making those now. The newest units are the Pathfinder.
