      The Crusaders killed fellow Christians, murdering clerics and violating nuns, looting churches and cathedrals, sacking Constantinople the centre of Eastern Christianity... All for being the wrong kind of Christian. They also killed a lot ofJews.....Is that what you want to return to? Crusader only has positive connotations in Catholic Western Europe.

      @@AW33COM if the Crusades hadn't beaten themselves silly against the Holy Land when they did, Europe would've been overrun before the HRE was even a thing. They blunted some very hard beatings. Did they accomplish what they set out to do? Debatable. Did they have a point? Yes

    • @globalpropertyinvestment
      @globalpropertyinvestment 5 місяців тому

      @@AW33COM You do know why the Pope called the 1st Crusade, right? Until then Islamic armies has been ravaging through Christian lands for over 300 years, had conquered Spain and were beginning to threaten the core of Christendom. Unlike the Islamic invasions, the Crusades purpose was not one of conquest, but a desperate attempt to recapture lost lands and to protect Christian pilgrims.
      I find it very sad that the brave efforts of the Crusaders are not given the honour and respect that they deserve. Our ancient foe has never stopped their thoughts of conquest for 1400 years, it is unfortunate for us that we do not remember why our ancestors fought.

    Interesting, but I wish you would've shown those two first knights charging the opponent on horseback followed by the rest of the Hospitaller & French knights on horseback in the rear of the column. The greatest victory of Crusaders??? Is that really true or just an exaggeration? Saladin was fighting against entire Europe from Acre to Arsuf to Jerusalem and crusaders were receiving study stream of reinforcements and supplies and provisions, while Fredrick Barbarossa was on the move through land route. There were minor battles while crusaders were on the March and no decisive engagements occur and Saladin's army remain largely intact. The objective of the Third Crusade was to capture Jerusalem which never been achieved despite the large-scale mobilization of Western crusaders. It is always the bigger picture which maters, but you may however can call it greatest victory but Saladin able to defend and hold Jerusalem successfully.

      Never in history. The word was invented by the great Homosexual leader of modern palestine Yasser Arafat the bugger of Arab boys, in 1967...Never before did the Arab colonialsts of Ancient Israel use that term, not even in the 1920's thru 1967...
