  • I haven't played the guitar much lately so I thought it was time for another practice video. As always with these practices, the video is the first take with no warm-ups and is a live improv with warts and all.
A I added an extra couple of synth layers to the "Light Red" backing track from a couple of years back

This one reminds me one of my all time favorite music era during the early 90’s when New Age was at its best. When music used to cure my soul and mind of disturbed teenage lol. It’s really beautiful. Some great Mike Oldfield’s flow here.

Thanks Fred! What a great compliment! I have to admit I only really know Tubular Bells and maybe Ommadawn if I heard it.

Thanks Fabio! As I promised a couple of weeks ago, I got the guitar out again for more than a few elements in a synth track. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Wow, with the first sounds I already understood that this piece of music was going to be great!
Your music is like a time warp that brings Pink Floyd into the present.
    With lot's of admiration, Markus

Thank You Markus. I have always loved early Pink Floyd and had to borrow from them a little again. Thankfully, this style of music is one I can fake on the guitar with my unusual playing style.

Great beautiful sound arising from your magical strings and your creative talent my friend! As they say here, in other comments, great bands and influential musicians can be evoked, but many of us know Edgard Froese always lives in your heart! ❤
    Bravo, great work! Aplausse! 🌟✔️🌟👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👍🏻

Thank You Aldo! You are right TD will always be my biggest influence, along with a touch of Pre-DSOTM Floyd. I am definitely influenced by a lot of great people of YT too as you know.

Oh, I didn't understand Pre-DSOTM... but GPT helped me and figured it out! LOL
But yes of course! Pink Floyd was a very influential band during that era you mention, especially for what is considered psychedelic and experimental!

@@DOALTRONIC-Aldo_Amodei Sorry, I forget not everyone will know that DSOTM is Dark Side Of The Moon. I have known it as that for 50 years lol
The biggest influence on my music is Tangerine Dream as you know, with early Pink Floyd another huge influence. I can't play guitar like David Gilmour, but I can try and add the overall atmosphere of Pink Floyd. Combine these with the influences of Ambient music, admired YT musicians and my own spin on things and you end up with my music.

Colin! Not even David Gilmour would sound like that! Really great, you put in a lot of effort! 🚀

Thanks Maurizio! A quick step away from the dark ambient drones etc. I hadn't played for a few months and needed to get in more practice. The way I play is non-conventional so I can't play other people's music to practice. But I think that is perfect for me as it forces me to create my own music always.

Thanks George! I still wish my wife could take the reverse sound so I could "borrow" from your style occasionally.
