Sometimes the final result just turns out a little bit different from the sketch! Anyways, this was super fun, it's always so much fun creating stuff for pets. Probably more fun for us than for them....

I feel like my husband kinda hates you for all the ideas and motivation u give me. Our home is way tooo small for all the stuff I've built with all the inspiration by you guys. And now, even the cat might get involved... ( even if I know that she won't use such a tower, cause she's not into hiding at all XD )
What if you made the tower with multiple balconies? So that is more open and won't really feel like hiding.
Ruined castle with one or two of the walls missing
You could make more of a cat tree instead. Make it look realistic, but add wider perches.
If you have limited space, you could do what my friend did. She made a cat house into the corner of the room and made the exterior into shelves.
Basically it's a tall triangular castle that goes about ⅔ of the way up the walls, has book shelves going up, with a few landings and a balcony for the kitties at the top. It's a great way to use up some dead space and multi purpose builds are always worth doing!
She's kinda crazy tho, and her house is a cat jungle. The cat house attaches to a highway behind the TV, she has a skywalk for them above her head in her craft room (to keep them from walking on her stuff) and two attached window boxes outside. They can climb out a window in one room, walk along a deck outside and into the window in another room.
When the weather is nice she just leaves them open and the kitties are just all over the place!
It was a ton of work but her home is very small and these things keep the cats from getting into her important stuff, crafts and work areas.. I'd never recommend doing all of that, but the tower/bookshelf is a great idea for saving space. Corners are awkward and usually go unused.
One day, I wish I could have a kitty home like that... I'm jealous. Haha
I’ve been so inspired by NerdForge. But my cat was so bad about using his tree that I ended up claiming it to house my plant pots. He never climbed the damn thing after he reached about 2 months old. He never even used the top platforms. but now we struck a compromise. The top platforms and box doubles as a bookcase and plant stand for me, and he gets the bottom two levels to hide away from my siblings to nap awhile without being seen lol.
The things we do because our cats own us and we love them
I know ours are spoiled rotten. We've got 5 cats and a kingsize bed. The contorted positions we sleep in just so we don't disturb them. Thank goodness for Chiropractors.

And Clyde is just like: "Yeah, talk as much as you want, I just take a nap here."

My cats hate the "pspsps" cause it sounds a bit like hissing
we raised them on a squeaky noise for a call, sorry there's no text equivalent, but it's like how you do a squeaky bird call and make kind of a kissy face to do it.
It's pretty unique lol.
It is good for preventing strangers from stealing our cats tho(huge prob here) since I assume they'll all go "here kitty, pspsps" and end up scaring them away instead of stealing them. At least I assume that's what's happening when I'm not looking, seeing as almost every house in the neighborhood has had a cat stolen except us.

My friends are Renaissance reenactors they did this for their cat but they had to hand paint eat brick and it was crucial lol they had six people working on it at the same time I'm happy you placed the tiles. Keep up the amazing work hun xo

In US, when we want to create a cat house, we use cardboard ...probably recycled cardboard!! But when Nerdforge create a cat house/castle. you go straight to the good stuff; wood to make it sturdy, carpet to make it cozy, & tiles to create a masterpiece!! Very well done!!🏅

Use a marker to draw some bricks here and there. Minimum effort castle build, done.
I love cats. I hope your cats enjoy their castle. I always think it shows more love for the pet if the owners make the item themselves than just go get a mass produced item.

Kool Katsle! I made something similar in the 90s in the shape of saguaro cacti which ran floor to ceiling with 3 arms complete with perches and covered in green carpet. I called them "Catti" or "Cat Cacti" ! Built and installed to certain customers as a side job.
I love the fact they speak to their cats in Norwegian. So cute.

What I love about cats is that you can do all this work for them and build them something cool and they either enjoy it or don't give a crap. That is the coolest cat tree that I have ever seen.

I love the noises you have to get the cats attention. I always use like that kissing noise. But I’ve also somehow managed to teach my cats the money sign - where you run your pointer, middle, and thumb together - means come here. I don’t have to say anything but do that 😂
I really liked how you cleaned up the edges of the windows with the clay, I totally would not have thought of that but it worked super well!
My life consists of a three K rule - in German: Katze-Kaffee-Kind. In English: Cats - Coffee - Child. (many cats - ONE kid!!!). A wonderful inspiration for the new home of a new cat. My first and oldest one (23 years!) just died and I am still in a mourning phase. So I will take the time in between to build a real big castle!! Thank you so much! I love your arts and creations. I've made a cardbox castle for my cats once! It wasn't this beautiful but they loved it! It's so heartwarming to see them using the things we made! Your cats are true kings now!

I love it! I definitely think doing something similar for M. Puffs. Although he weight more over 7 kg and he is very tall, it will need to be really sturdy. Also I will think of an access door for cleaning.
