Hey, so this was a fun struggle! If I ever make another Diorama, what would you like to see? :D Also, if you wanna hang out on the bookbinding livestreams, I'm streaming again on tuesday! Check the announcement if you're interested on Patreon: www.patreon.com/nerdforge Hope you've had a great weekend!
This is amazing!! You inspired me to do a book nook myself. I went the 3D printing path since I love modelling digital. Anyway I noticed it's not really a "quicker" way because of all the small details I wish to include. Having much fun with it now and hope to get a nice result. This is my very first project and it only started because of your HP book nook. Mine's gonna be the knockturn alley btw :-)
You could make the Godric's Hollow, I know this is really typical, just Harry Potter... I can imagine you wouldn't really wanna do that since you have so many books, I'm sure HP isn't your favourite, great work however I really enjoy your videos
Your projects always turn out amazing, you are so talented. I also have very creative ideas in my head but whenever I try to draw or build something it looks like kindergarten art....😅 I think a diorama with an ocean/sea theme with waves, sharks and perhaps a shipwreck would be cool or an volcanao landscape, maybe even Pompeji during the destruction. Or you could create a copy or reimagination of fantasy worlds like the nature or cities in Pokémon.... But it doesnt really matter because everything you do looks stunning
So I have an internal rule - if you’re entertained by a street performer, you have to tip them. Even if it’s only a few bars from someone playing a song you like in the Underground. You have kept me entertained throughout the pandemic, and I’m proud to say I’m now in a financial position to be a Patreon of yours. Thank you so much for the effort you put into your art, it really shows. 🖤
I've watched a lot of different channels in the past, I don't know, 10+ years, but you're by far the coolest person on UA-cam. Nerdy, funny, quirky (the good kind), passionate, creative and very diverse. Thank you for inspiring me to try new crafts. 😃👌🏼
I think the best part of this whole diorama is the gentle swaying of the balloon, as if it really was a balloon tied down by a rope, and is gently swaying in the breeze. Well done!
I have a question. Where do you put all your beautiful projects after you make them? Do you store them somewhere, or do you have a gallery where everything is displayed?
I'm wondering too! I have huge paper crafts of pokemon but I can't just shove em in a closet cause they will get crushed. I think she has a display room of some sort but for her little diagon alley and minecraft book, they are probably mixed in with the normal books she has
i just want to say that i am glad people like you exist. i'm not talking about your artworks and such, its just that you are a very contagiously positive and happy person. and you motivate my lazy, and sorry, ass to finally do something productive. you have more balls than i do.
I was a bit worried about the way the bare trees looked but they turned out gorgeous in the end! The while diorama is amazing. I really love the windy look you incorporate in the final shots. Just beautiful 😍
You amaze me. You are so creative, crafty and resourceful. You face your fears while exploring new technics and mediums and I admire you for that too. I stumbled randomly on your channel yesterday and I cannot quit since! I really enjoy your goofiness, your authenticity and your energy. This channel is main reason why I still appreciate social medias ! Keep going Martina. You are an incredible artist you your content is precious ! Thank for sharing it.
Absolutely love!!! Can’t wait to see other dioramas. You guys do amazing work!! Would love to see a Egypt inspired diorama. With your eye for detail and perfection I think it would be stunning, or a pirate inspired one on water :) Again great job..You guys are awesome ❤️
You'll probably never see this message considering how late I am, but thank you for showing how much freaking work it is. Some youtubers make it look so easy and quick. I have been disappointed with how slow my results have been, rushing things because I didn't plan enough time and then blaming myself. Thank you for an honest view of the work it takes!
These diorama crafting videos always are really cool! Could you (if you haven't done it already) make a video about how to get into that hobby and what materials to use?
Wow, love it, really was wondering how you where going turn pine trees into trees, but wow, love the static and yeey on thd baloon! Could have also use a tree to mask it. Amazing job there! Love your art, is truly challenging but satisfying at same time!
I love it when you have those little "Happy success" moments during your creative moments!! You are an amazing and creative craftsperson who loves what she does and it shows!! Keep creating!! Best wishes and more Happy Successes to you!!
Can I just say this is super amazing and the fact that you did it all in one week is *incredible*? This looks like it wouldn't be out of place in Zandalar or some other fantasy jungle. Loving these dioramas!
Even though I see the whole process the final product still blows my mind, the details are incredible! Also, the idea of a rope to keep the air balloon on the air is pretty creative
It is mind blowing to see the amount of detail that you have put in to the fallen leaves, the stone tiles, the little mushrooms, etc - just fantastic ! Keep up the awesome work Martina :)
What a random group of things to throw together. At this point, I don't think that it could turn out bad from you. No matter what you put together. It makes me want to see you make a collage diorama of the most radically different things you can think of interacting with each other in some way. Absolutely fantastic work, as always!!
I think a tree house village diorama would be really cool, maybe suspended over a foggy swamp with a hint of light from underneath. Just an idea, feel free to make it your own way, I'd love to see what you come up with.
Hi Martina! First I wanted to say: this diorama became beautiful. I love it so much. In the last month I read a book, in witch was a little space (a room or something), where the mechanicums (mechanical animals, I know it sounds strange) were locked away from the world. There were only 3 tigers and some birds, when this place was founded. This place is like a mini jungle, with leaves, a waterfall and a lake in the middle. If you would like, you can make it. I can sand for you some scatches if you want. I love how you work and I really want to make this diorama, but I don't know how to begin it.
I love watching you create! With the flex in the wire, the balloon moves a bit so it makes it look even more real. Y'all are doing a great job! Thank you for sharing your adventures in crafting with us.
I love how the hot air balloon is slightly swaying as if it's in the air and being pushed about by the wind and currents. Very cool :D Also how the egg is all shiny is a damn good idea. It reminds me of a polished stone.
If you wanted to go for a levitating look again, but want the object to appear as if it's untethered, you should look into tensegrity. I've seen furniture made with this method and it's absolute bloody magic! This came out beautifully, the idea to use the hollow tube for the balloon was brilliant, and the flash of the painting you gave us, was amazing!
I've had the 'live "presents"' too from my tearaway Nala, I get all sorts living next to a farm... mice, voles, moles, newts, frogs, birds, birds eggs and there was that one time I was brought a bat :S love these more frequent uploads glad you guys can do this full time now - i get more Nerdy content XD
My cats are both indoor cats. They bring me live bugs that they drop on my lap. One of them brought me a WoNdErFuL gift of a wolf spider. She just dropped it on my hand while I was typing. 🙃
Hey Martina. I’ve got a suggestion for when working on dioramas. When waiting on the foam coat, why not work on the foliage or start on extra pieces the same day when waiting? It might make having a time limit more easier, and it might be easier for your stress levels so you don’t have to rush like something is chasing you.

See through plastic clothes hangers, cut up, make good see through bases for things. you can always disguise the bulk of it as a tree or something, and just have a little bit of clear plastic there to give that little bit of space. Really inspiring stuff, i'm starting to work on a diorama to display some models on to really finish the feel. love some of the little things you did here. those ferns look awesome, i wonder where i could find something like that
WOW it's beautiful! i love it! you say it was a "fun struggle," and that's a perfect way of describing projects like this. if it's worth doing or having, it's worth fighting for...so why not have some fun along the way! :) truly, it was a labor of love, no? it shows in the beauty of your finished diorama! thanks for this upload! love to you from Eagle Rock, CA, USA!

Great Job!! Like your solution for the hot air ballon. Consider adding a couple of shorter "ropes" hanging from the basket to help sell the idea. Love how the franken-trees turned out.
