Forces is basiclly sonic 4 ep2 in 3d, it's mediocre, it's not good but it's not bad, you can find "the fun" in this game but i would only play this again if i got tired of beating generations 100% for the seventh time
Thats one of my points I can find the fun in this game.
It’s a Mediocre Game but it’s not terrible. Unlike Generations and Colors it’s Lacking in Both Content and Substance but I can still enjoy it.
I think sonic forces is mid but I do think the environments/atmosphere of the levels are the best in the series

Agreed. I preordered this game. Finished it when it came out and never touched it again because of how boring the game is
You're defending the concepts (which i agree are actually really good) of the game but you forgot the game is boring.
There are times that the game gets a bit boring but I still find it fun.

I like Sonic Forces.
Sonic forces is a bad game, objectively. Level design is an intense downgrade from previous titles, removal of drift, sonic being slower, levels being shorter, boring and linear. This is just inexcusable.
Story was cringey and corny, it promised depth and dark tone like older games but kept with that cheesy boring and overplayed 2010s sonic theme. Animation was bad, models were bad - sonics new model is ugly, his shorter quills and lighter blue colour is 🤢, they’re just trying to make him look like classic sonic, but why???
Characters genuinely regress in this game, tails is back to being a coward. Sonic is back to being a one dimensional pick me up guy, shadow is back to being a bland edge lord. All the other characters have no purpose nor reason to be there. Infinite’s entire origin is ridiculous and a joke. This game was just a middle finger to long term sonic fans.
I agree that Sonic has short quills and I prefer him to have a model with longer quills.
