Esri Public Transit ADA Demonstration

The purpose of this survey is to demonstrate how the ArcGIS System can support and modernize ADA compliance for transit agencies. It emphasizes the significance of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, which mandates accessible public services to eliminate discrimination and ensure equal access. This demonstration aims to assess the current state of bus stop compliance with ADA standards, identify areas for improvement, and enhance overall accessibility. It highlights challenges such as data integration, incomplete asset inventory, complexity of ADA standards, and manual workflows. The ArcGIS System offers solutions for maintaining compliance, improving operational efficiency, and mitigating liability by providing simplified methods for data acquisition, inspection, and visualization of compliance status. The goal is to create a more inclusive and equitable transportation experience for all individuals supported by GIS.
