Agree. Terre is in the same ballpark as L'Instant de Guerlain or Dior Homme Intense to me. Timeless and unforgettable. Hermes edp is my favorite version.
Sup Mark! IMO, the parfum is the best version of DNA, with the only downside being the performance. Longevity is great, but I find that projection and sillage is much less than the EDT, which is to be expected anyways. All that said, I like that you can overspray it without any worry about overwhelming anyone around you, allowing the wearer to get a great experience. Kind of the best of both worlds for us frag heads. Cheers!
Great unboxing, thank you for your work! I haven’t tried this flanker, but I tenderly love the OG... It’s such a vibe-nature, tranquility, and highly aesthetic minimalism. 🌿
I love this. I had the 75ml bottle that I wore daily until I sadly finished it off. The only other Hermès that I own is the Eau Tres Fraiche. I prefer the Parfum version a little more over Eau Tres Fraiche, mainly due to the versatility of it; Eau Tres Fraiche feels more appropriate for hot summer days, while with the Parfum version I can wear comfortably anytime of the year. I would buy a replacement bottle of the Parfum, but I'm trying to keep my collection from growing too big. However if my entire collection were to go up in smoke and I had to start my collection all over again, I would 100% buy another bottle of the Parfum.
Would love to see a borntostandout review at some point in the future. I just bought Drunk Saffron. Many of them are too artistic and daring for my uneducated nose, but yours might appreciate them. Thanks for your reviews they are highly entertaining.
Cheers Marc, yeah I have the 75ml of this one , had of course the OG edt back in the day and the Parfum is more suited to my age and situations of which it is positively appreciated by my peers. Nothing wrong of course with the edt and I would be happy to wear it if not for this flanker. Happy new year 🎆🎈🎊
the pure parfum was my first Hermes and my first thought was "OMG timeless classic"...so quite satisfying to hear you use the same words. I still feel bad that i used pliers to pry the black plastic top off the unmarked tester bottle (50 bucks)...didnt realize it was a feature not a bug. Philistine!
Robes - As a fellow Canadian, going out to stores and testing new fragrances in this brutal weather is a no-go for me. Can you recommend a decant site that you use (or have used) that is 100% legit and not too crazy with their prices?
Awesome take! I like this one because I get little bit of rotten orange from it and in a weird way it is interesting and different from the rest. IIRC Ellena even said that edt and parfum Terre have almost identical concentrations that it’s only different notes that are accentuated in those two
I need to go ahead and grab a bottle of this. Early in my journey I bought a clone (Rasasi Fattan) and put the real deal on the back burner. I've long since avoided clones and every time I go to wear that one, I'm hit with that almost guilty and cheap feeling that makes me wish it were the real thing. I'm also kinda scared that it may end up being reformulated at some point.
My favorite one has always been the edt. Though it is quite some time since I last checked any of the others. Maybe I should revisit the edp. Thanks for the good review.
I remember sampling these a long time ago. At the time I preferred the Parfum to the EdT. In the end though, I just could jibe with the flinty-ness. These days I seem to enjoy earthy scents more than I used to, so maybe it's time to revisit these.
ETF is my favorite, too. I think I like the EDT more than the Parfum - though I am told newer batches of the EDT are less good. Anyway, super close for me; but that transparency that you (and I) love in the ETF is more present, I think, in the EDT than the Parfum. Again it’s very close. And I could see the Parfum as more dressed up for sure. I have never tried the EIV. I like the EG a lot, too, but it’s very much a “settle for it since you can’t have more ETF” kind of like. Now that I said all that, who cares? But you did ask, so I’ll hit send 😂
The whole line is decent. EDT is the consistent pick for me (for every day wear). I really liked Eau Givrée, but it's very light. It's no Trés Fraïche. Intense Vetiver is also really good. I might have to give the parfum another try.
Great video Mark thank you!! 👍🏾 I have a big 200 mL bottle. I love this fragrance. I don't remember spending $250 though 😂. Really thinking of the vetiver flanker from my next.
I have the parfum. But my favorite is the original and the vetiver flanker. The parfum one is a bit too green for my taste. And the original hurts my nose for some reason. Which is the only reason I got the parfum one for.
…appreciate it Marc ! Love the EDT, been hoarding a sample of Tres Fraiche hoping, without success, to find a bottle…the qualities you point up re: the EDP are exactly those that leave me unattracted…dullish, flat, non-complex non-projecting, perhaps a bit too staid?…for me…and definitely do not want herbs ie Givre…
I used to own Terre d'Hermes Parfum. I liked its texture when you smell a cloud of ethereal Iso E Super and then - deep under it - a dense core of sweet fuzzy ambery vetivery mossy flint thing. Very unusual fragrance that quickly caused noseblindness to me and all I could smell was an oily something at times, unfortunately. I think it smells a bit dated, however I would appreciate it on a random person here and there. Thx!
I prefer the Parfum as it is denser and has less ISO E, so I can smell it hours later. The EDT is nice but it’s so heavy on that aroma chemical I go anosmic quickly. Great DNA though!
Terre d'hermes Perfume and EdT line is really great. A great perfume for all year round, perhaps especially for spring and summer. They are truly unique because of that woody fresh note. I don't know if it's my nose or the reformulation, but these perfumes have no sillage, the projection is medium, when someone kisses you on the cheek or hugs you, they can definitely feel the freshness of the perfume. If I had to choose, I would rather choose the EdT after it dries down, it has a very pleasant scent. Very sexy, provocative and seductive. Silage: 6/10 Longevity: 7/10 Unique: 10/10 Versatility: 8/10 Definitely worth having in your collection! 🍻
They cleaned it up the dirtiness compared to edt more wearable and lasts longer compared to edt (have 2024 bach of edt version and feels like eau the cologne now..6 hours tops where before was 12+).
Love both the Parfum and EDT, but the EDT has something special that the Parfum lacks. Maybe it’s the patchouli or pepper? I’m not sure but the EDT seems to have more complexity.
Never liked the EDT, as I found it much too harsh. Jagged edges as aptly put by you. The Parfum solved that with its smoother, more mineral base, and I quite like it.
Why are all you videos just unboxings these days Marc? Don't get me wrong, everybody likes a good unboxing, but every single video. Isn't this a bit futile?
I throw out content not for views or subscribers but for information in the long run. Does this hurt the channel? Of course but these are being decanted so I rather have a video to document instead of none. I'll slowly go back to other types of videos.
Oh my good lord a grown man in his 40’s doing a fake French accent is embarrassing
He's french canadian dummy
He's french canadian dum dum
@ he speaks perfect English until he sees a French word , would he put in an African accent if he read out Somalian food menus ???? Nope
…Sacre Bleu ! My compatriot comes by his accent honestly my friend ! …and your name is francis ? Lol…irony, thy name is spoken…
🤡
Eau Intense Vetiver is the most underrated one
It has it's fans. Honestly it's not a bad scent but the family Terre lineup is so solid I think it gets overshadowed.
Leans too close to guerlains vetiver but more pricy.
And rated under the original three releases it deserves to remain
Agree. Terre is in the same ballpark as L'Instant de Guerlain or Dior Homme Intense to me. Timeless and unforgettable. Hermes edp is my favorite version.
Thank you so much for sharing, great take!

Good work!
Tres Fraiche is New Year’s Eve scent for me!
Great choice! Happy New Year!
@robes08 Happy 2025 , stay strong

This and the edt get the most wears in my collection of 120+ bottles, and has for years. When I can't decide what to wear, it is my default.
I have a Terre D'Hermes on my wishlist. I think I will skip the EDT and go for this one. I feel it would suit me well as a 40 year old man.
I agree with your thoughts on this 100%. I slightly prefer the Parfum to the EDT, the simplicity makes it a bit more wearable for me.
the pure parfum was my first Hermes and my first thought was "OMG timeless classic"...so quite satisfying to hear you use the same words. Usually that's how it works... certain notes will level up and some will level down.

It's a good line, good luck on getting that vetiver. If you haven't sampled it I would recommend before buying.

The current EDT is way too reformulated, helas its the same for declaration. I got my perfume coming this week so nice timing! Best wishes,

True, great recipe. Happy to see your thoughts.
I find Eau Intense Vetiver being really good. My favourite remains Eau Tres Fraiche followed by Eau Intense Vetiver.
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. ETF is imo the best of the brand considering everything and my personal taste.
@@robes08 Yes. I'd have to agree. Along with Bel Ami and Ambre Narguile it's the best of the brand.

Silage: 6/10
Longevity: 7/10
Unique: 10/10
Versatility: 8/10
Definitely worth having in your collection! 🍻
i agree with you in the top 3. eau tres fraiche is the best, parfum and OG are both in the same level but nowadays i prefer the parfum slightly
Let’s go get ‘em again!

I just looked up the notes on the Hermès website and they list a shiso note. Supposedly, shiso has a blend of green, spicy, and tart characteristics.
That makes all kind of sense.
They cleaned it up the dirtiness compared to edt more wearable and lasts longer compared to edt (have 2024 bach of edt version and feels like eau the cologne now..6 hours tops where before was 12+).
Fantastic cologne. Have had it for about 2 years.
Glad it's still holding up!
hi mark,i miss your top 10 for every season,,waiting for to winter and fall 2024 or 2025
Love both the Parfum and EDT, but the EDT has something special that the Parfum lacks. Maybe it’s the patchouli or pepper? I’m not sure but the EDT seems to have more complexity.
Marc, please do a video about the new DHP
I did talk a bit about it in my Dior video I did recently.
Never liked the EDT, as I found it much too harsh. Jagged edges as aptly put by you. The Parfum solved that with its smoother, more mineral base, and I quite like it.
Sounds right up my alley as a man who is turning 40. The versatility and mature factor is intriguing to me.
SOTD Fattan, a cheap TdH clone, but I like it. Got my sample of Havana Vanille today. Now I know what you mean by Sheldrake. :)
I was waiting to see your comment, its actually my favourite of the bunch
It's right up there with me!
If i am unable to test this, is it blind buy safe? I am 40 years old, seeking something versatile and mature from Hermes.
Yes the Parfum edition smells denser and juicier, also classy AF
Truth!
Some brilliant points spoken.
Thank you!
Absolute classic
💯
Sospiro Basso is my favorite TDH DNA
Interesting! I need to sniff that one.
According to Parfumo, there is shisho in this. It’s apart of the mint family
Nice to see it's in the notes, with these unboxings sometimes my nose takes me places.
I like the Parfum, but nothing beats the original.
Usually that's how it goes. The OG always is best.
Salut Marc et salut à toute la communauté depuis la France. Bonne année 2025. I wish all the best for all of You. 🌃🗼
Bonne Année Mr. VERT.
I'm getting 200ml refill Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree. I know they will discontinue it.
Most likely will get chopped, depending on sales I think.
I never tried eau fraiche
But I have eau givree
Eau Fraiche was much superior to me, worth a sniff.
Been eying this one for a while, never a good discount (none actually) on it tho
Yea, she's one that you will have to just pay close to retail.
You should try Fièvre Verte by Kilian 👌
I may at some point
Happy New Year.
All the best in 2025.
Happy New Year my friend!
❤❤👏🏼👏🏼
👌
Being honest. Parfum is the one I dislike. I like pre-2010 EDT.
Fair enough. I could see that tho.
Late to the show
Lately you have been, but I appreciate the support

No worries 👍
This left me indifferent when I wore my sample. Better than the OG for me, but still a pass.
