4:31 lol the due yelling "AMTRAK! AMTRAK! AMTRAK!"
lol
i also did it when i heard the capitol limited train
Very good video man!
Nice catches! Including the ones at Back Bay!!
4:13 the guy has the same number on his shirt as in the leading p42
Very amazing catches! I once saw a p42 heritage unit at Penn Station! I think is was phase 3
If I am correct, you actually saw a P32, which are normally painted in phase 3 paint
I'm a tram and I approve this video!!!!
Nice Job!!!!!!
1:47 I go to that station all the time how cool
Kevin Flaherty: I always thought of going somewhere on 1 of those trains.
I like trains .__.
the marta dog same
I LOVE WWE THEME
THE 2x same I have Lego trains and I even have a MTA train n line
ME GUSTO MUCHO EL VIDEO DE LOS TRENES
im suprised it takes 2 locos to pull 4 coaches
Especially surprised it takes three of them to pull a baggage car, diner, sleeper, and coach (4 cars), as seen in a different shot
@@tacticalfall4505 Steep grades on the route, perhaps?
Paul Ryan Castillo it’s called moving power or broken down engines or test trains
It seriously doesnt need 2 locomotives for that. Ive seen one locomotive for MBTA at Boston hauling like 12 or 13 coaches. I dont know why they need doubleheadings
Super awesome vid!!!!!!!!! Sweet catches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on 300 subs hears to many more!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Great shot at 1:05!
Wow! Awesome video mate!
Move😊
Congrats on the 300 subs!!
Nice video, I see you included my 449 haha
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did back in 1954
usually when a train passes i give them a little wave and they’ll wave back
Good to hear.
Don't confuse the Dash 8 with the Bombardier Dash 8 plane
I bet it is awesome living in the NEC...
it’s pretty nice, though the high speed trains, like Acela and NER, when they pass by you at full speed, it’s the loudest thing youll ever hear, louder than a freight
I see a Dash-8 on the Crescent (I live in Atlanta) about once a week - they _never_ look anywhere near as clean or well-maintained as 514 does in this video!
1:40, I'm supprised those diesel locomotives are going that fast.
They go 110 in the Michigan Corrior,
No DMUs though, and no regional services. Just Amtrak
Can somebody explain why 3 locomotives are needed for 4 carriages?
Veres Ákos sometimes extra locomotives are brought from major hubs in order to replace other locomotives that may be under maintenance
cool
👍👍Awesome Koooooooooooolleeooooo 🖖✌
Very nice!:)
Grettings:)
Wow, incredible railfanning and quite a roster there. Although, GOPers would think access fleet utilization and fuel consumption. Thanks for sharing.
It was January 13th when you filmed 514 I took photos of it when she was in Utica heading to Boston/New York
Cabcars are cool
Meeper5 RailFanning i live in california and they bring me this sense of nostalgia
Union Station is not too far from where I live. only about an hour or so away!
Mr. Alex Wood, I have a Question I am kinda confused about the title of this video, MBTA and Amtrak trains were in were other video I saw. could you explain why the title says extremely rare? Great Video though!!!
TRAINS RULE SFSD trains LOL all of the trains in the video have rare consists that are out of the ordinary
1:44 anyone notice that the coach car door is open when that train is going over 60 mph...
Lmao yeah
Apparently conductors like hanging out of the doors too XD
Did anyone notice that the double ACS 64s were numerical? 619 and 618!
looks like framingham
WHy does mbta use diesel on electrified lines?
apparently it's not cost effective enough for them to purchase and run electric locomotives on this line; especially when this is the only line (1 of 10+ lines) that the MBTA runs on that's electrified.
In he MBTA test car, what was that middle car that looks like a dash 8
it's a GP40MC ex Canadian National and ex MARC. the freight derivative of the locomotive is the GP40-2LW when it was in CN service
Donald trump promised to expand the rail system in the United States yet he is cutting Amtrak from 23 states in the budget. This would mean no more Amtrak coming through your town. No way to take the train. A mode of transportation that has been around for 200 years would be no more. Over 500 stations would be abandoned. Over 50,000 jobs would be lost. We need to make sure this does not happen.
Hoscale Crashes Agreed. It is our divine right to keep these beautiful trains in operation!
Hoscale Crashes Amtrak loses more money than it gains so why waste money on an industry that should have been privatized. Yes it sucks for people who like trains but it's like throwing money into a furnace.
Dylan Symons
Thats not how it works!
Amtrak moves people around, with that, people are able to live in small towns and work in big cities, and opposite. This helps economic growth, and keeps small communities alive. The taxes gained from this economic growth pays for most of Amtraks running costs. The problem is that the politicians have to redirect the money toward Amtrak, and not taxbreaks.
Plus, Amtrak was formed because the private railroads were failing to provide adequate passenger service.
Amtrak isnt going anywhere trust i work for them

I didn't know it was possible to mix diesel engines with electric ones in the same train.
