If you are collecting and want an oem bike. But for a rider I want a structurally sound tire. I’ll take a own tire if it still holds air just don’t want it to fail or go flat quick.
I agree the best skinny front tires are OEM, but I like the looks and function of 22x11x8 KENDA FRONT MAX. (On early 250R, Tecate….).I might try the 23x8-11 FRONTMAX on my 200X FATCAT conversion. I think it would work great in mud and ruts. Keep up the great work!!🇺🇸
Average price is tough to say, but in this exact condition I think you'd be getting a great deal if you found one for $8k... but there's buyers out there that would pay up to $12k. In cleaner condition they're selling for $16k-$18k... pretty crazy!
I think you met your goal...looks GREAT. I just ordered Big Red side panel graphics from BlueLine and looking fwd to putting them on. I like your idea of wet sanding out light scratches and buffing to shine. I appreciate you showing your process. This winter when I have time, I'm going to attempt some areas on my '85 Big Red.
Hey i love the UA-cam channel I have nothing to say about tires I honestly agree with how boring looking the kenda is but I really wanna get another 250r I had a 1988 trx 250r but sold it years back I've regretted it since. Now after seeing your 86 atc 250r I'm thinking I gotta get another one no matter how much it costs. Keep the videos coming i love learning about these incredible machines so thank you for sharing your collection and experiences with us
Lol, thank you! If I had a dollar for every time I had to make that trio into the other room to check something out or compare... I'd probably have enough to buy another 250R!
Definitely a nice R... I like the non resistor spark plugs but they are becoming hard to get.. 👍👍👍 #teamwaxoffroad #staciescountrycooking #makeatcsgreatagain
I bit the bullet and bought a buffer. I was just doing the same thing with decals, wet sanding small spots. Etc. Making my 85 look better. That is weird about the oilf fill plug though. I wonder what's up with that. Nice 86 preston! The stock exhaust on thise really doesn't sound too bad either. I like it.
I remember the local Honda dealer pushing those BR8EG spark plugs. (1998?)They were about $10 ea when BR8ES were $2….. A few of us bought those, and they seemed to foul out fast. I was riding an 86 ATC250R
Yup! I get that the 11" wheel is an uncommon size these days and other tread options aren't readily available, but now with the Serwa tires available... I don't see why anybody would want a Front Max...
Nicely done mister. Great looking machine.
Thanks brother! Making three wheelers great again... one trike at a time...
😍 Looks and sounds brand new! Very very nice!
Thanks brother! I appreciate you!!
Cleaned up pretty good I’d say.
I appreciate it man! I'm happy!
I know you enjoyed riding it at the end!🍒
Yes sir!! I can't wait to get some more R time under my belt!
Very nice, cleaned up well. Not a two stroke guy myself, but if one came across at a right price I would definitely consider it. Good video Preston
@@patinabunker5340 Thank you sir! They're a fun ride for sure!
Lovely job, man.
Very much appreciated!
"I'd rather have an OEM tire with 6 plugs x 10000!!!!" My thought exactly. You are not wrong!!!

i need new tires for my 1984 honda 125m second gen and i like your videos.
Thanks for the compliment brother! An 84 125M is a 1st gen though. Takes the same tires as the 2nd gen.
Wish I had my 86 still oh well one day one will find its way to me lol love the channel buddy 🤟
Superb
Thanks brother! Hope you're well!!
Your not wrong I hate the look of the front max
Thank you!
6 plugs is crazy 😂 did the last owner strictly ride in a construction zone
@@foxpuremage Your guess is as good as mine!
Whats wrong with 6 plugs? Ive used alot more then that
It's a new record in my garage!
4:55 they were black clear back in the air cooled days... gotta find the 86 part number and find a 35 year old nos one
Yeah. I'm on the look out!
Definitely a nice R...

Yup the OEM tires make it look good! Them kenda's are ok for a non 250R 😂
Yup, OEM is where it's at for looks!
Wow.... now that you show it Preston...that is yucky or at least lame is where I'm settled
Yeah... or, very "meh"... why would you get one of those when you can get something sexy like a Serwa...
The tank looks really nice, what compound if any do you use with the buffing wheel?

@@michaelhathcock7941 Yeah buddy!
Could you have a trike fest in the Oklahoma panhandle?
There's one in Missouri coming up.
@@ThisOldTrike I might be there
I couldn’t figure it out and then I did. You’re not wearing a hat.😅
Yup! And when the camera catches the top of my head... it reminds me to wear my stinking hat!!
Always stock up on plugs... comment bombing...
But lastly I hear f'n flip flops 😂
lol, there is a good chance you'll hear flip flops in many of my videos!!
1:39 i need some pizzazz
We know you're fancy...
As long as they hold air. 😂😂😂
Yes sir!
I totally understand and agree that those Kenda's are just Plain Jane. I just don't like those straight lined lugs.😅 just me tho.

Hey I still need a hoodie of Honda hoarders or this old trike. Large let me know and I’ll send you the money.
