Thats just what happens when you have a big cam in the engine. Also a lot of power i was at a monster truck rally and one of the trucks was doing the same thing.
I guess this guy feels high up in life because he gets all the attention he wants. Obviously this car is just for the track because street wise you couldnt handle it. Unless you the weight holdin this thing down or the right tires to hook up, this guys gonna run on the track and bring three wheels off the ground.
that is just FUGGIN INSANE 2 supercharges lol curiosity question, why not twin turbo it, like garret GT30R for left bank and another GT30R for right bank's 4cylinder? then run 1 supercharger to cool the air down, you would probably get 2000hp easy out of the configuration, it would be injected as well, much much more reliable as well, any vids on it running down the 1/4
This thing has to cook the heads & block. Props to him because it's so out of the norm & different. But it looks so ridiculous. Still a real clean car though.
that's a nice car man. my ride isn't too special. '99 ford ranger 4 banger. stick shift though, that's why i want it. i really want to learn so when i have money for a real car and i can drive it the way its meant to be driven. and yeah, some of those laws are a bit strict, i hope i don't have too much trouble modifying cars. i'm not sure what i want to go into first, though. probably an older mustang, that would be really nice as a first project.
yes. more of looks. you can get just about the same power without 2 superchargers get 2 huge turbos. and you can perfectly drive. not have to move a little to see where you're going
@MrBEB123 That weight transfer your talking about only happens if you have traction. In snow there is much less traction, so that road gripping weight transfer doesn't happen. Failed experiment? So FWD failed? Wasn't aware of that...I'm glad you obviously know what your talking about cause I haven't driven a single car in the snow...ever...at all. Oh, and the first successful FWD consumer car came out in 1929...systems been around for awhile for something that failed. I hope your trolling...
yeah I seriously doubt he'll take it down the track; he'll be dosappointed because he'll never get traction. Plus he'll never have to be embarassed to tell ppl if he's never raced it. Great foe effect & to say it can be done, but thats an overkilled one trick pony
talked to the owner at a car show. is it able to be ran at full throttle? said you could only do half throttle to keep the bottom end in the engine. hope she is running well and would love to see that car run at the pontiac day at Atco Raceway
@grinderboy22 I hear you bro, I hate people who have to critisize peoples great vehicle work. Thats to hard to believe with many years of racecar work. Just amizing, and well said on the side haha.
It doesn't make it street legal. It just means there are plates on it still. Just the decibel level of the engine alone makes it illegal. At least here in Texas it would be illegal. The cops would have a field day pulling that car over and having it impounded. Who knows, it may be legal wherever it is. Doubt it though.
When you have an older car that makes real power you'll quickly find the glides and turbo 350/400s are much tougher and can handle the power and tq without being comprimised
The gas mileage is probably a lot better than you'd think if he doesn't get into it. More hp and torque at lower rpms means less work with the throttle pedal. However, when he lights that thing up it will suck gas like a freight train. :)
You obviously have a biased perspective so there's not much point in me arguing with you. 1. I don't care much for American muscle because its all about HP. I prefer small nimble cars that handle well. 2. The GTO is twin supercharged. What would it be without them if the Supra is nothing with a turbo? 3. I don't own a Supra or want 1 myself. Its a far better engineered car chassis wise though. The GTO has been re-engineered. 4. Can't compare a classic to modern car values. Its not fair.
Well considering I talked directly to the owner of the car at mason dixon dragway and he told me the truth about the dummy blower and power I would say he was pulling everybodys legs in this video. I was at the beach with my car at the time this video was made. They made him stop driving the car. due to it being to high.
It's not a computer controlled engine like modern cars. If he wanted, he could fine tune things to have a smooth idle, but why bother? That car obviously wasn't built to be sitting still :) And, yeah, having a huge stack of supercharger sticking out the hood is the point. He could get the same horsepower numbers with turbos hidden under the hood, but that's not what he wanted.
I hate these show off engines that bulge a mile out of the bonnet. Totally unnessasery. You can squeeze way more hp under the hood than 1600 bhp, without the engine going into the sky and ruining the cars aerodynamics. That's why you never see any top, top quarter milers have an engine like this. It's just stupidity.
@FerrariPwns I don't see why you are calling this car shit, sure the dual blowers are unnecessary, and it can't corner, but it is a work of art. It might not have the finesse that an import does, but someone put a lot of time, effort and money into something they love, and that should be respected.
its also like 25 years older than a supra too, probably cost less as well. To each their own, Im a beamer guy personally but theres no reason to bag on another mans vehicle, especially since I sincerely doubt you own a 1300hp supra. What do YOU drive? Your moms camry? give me a break man,
@mageac - what if the bottom supercharger is "tuned" for a higher air pressure, like a two stage compressor? or like what if one is meant to work better within a different rpm range than the other, like some stock twin turbo systems?
id hate to be around that fuckin thing if he blew it up hell there would be engine parts flying allover the place lol..........its sweet though wonder how many mpgs it gets?maybe 1mile to the gallon what do you think?
They also run on nitromethane and their engines get rebuilt after almost every race. Anyway, that is crazy, maybe he could have gotten it with one blower but he clearly wanted to be over the top.
now THIS is an orgasm to my eyes. Beautiful GTO with dual superchargers. Im only thirteen might I add. You know a car is sick when thirteen year olds are shitin themselfs
Very fascinating to have a double supercharger w nitrous. Gatta love when people just have to be different! Magnificent machine, and the whine is SICK!!!
u guys havnt seen the 850 horse civics then? lol i hate civics but have seen some n/a 10sec civics on the street walk all over zo6 vettes, and some z06's beat stock civics. this gto is so top heavy all its good for is idling in parking lots maybe rev it from time to time.
when this car gets on it, it actually sits still and turns the world beneath it.
Oh my fuck. I've always dreamed of owning a stock GTO- but this is ridiculous. Amazing.
This guy has the best laugh. I love it
Long live Mopar I like racing my 71 charger and taking it to shows!
"Twin blower!" ...thanks tips i didn't notice lol
Thats why e added the intercooler under the bottom blower, which I believe is a 871,and the top is a 671,and it as also sprayed at 1 time too!
the bodies themselves have changed dramatically
you know a car is powerful when its super charger needs its own supercharger.
I'm thinking that this should be in every car made. even hybrids.
Shit man , you have a fucken Empire State Building in the car
They're just really surprized
run that up and down the street at night when everyone asleep, catching gears at the stop lights
i love the guy standing behind th camera giggling like a school girl over this car lol
damn thats a big ass engine there
its such a beast!!!!!!!!!!
when he starts it up, it revs by itself, IT HAS A FUCKING HEART! ITS NOT A CAR, IT A MONSTER! lol, the revs sound like its pulsating or something
hell ya one bad ass car. eats hondas for breakfast lunch and dinner
God that is sick!
Thats just what happens when you have a big cam in the engine. Also a lot of power i was at a monster truck rally and one of the trucks was doing the same thing.
amazing looking car and impressive numbers but omg that supercharger would make me put a gun to my head after 5 min of driving it
HOLY SHIT THAT'S A BLOWER!
the big chief's crow is badest car ever
he should go to ricer car meets and tell everyone there thats how they came stock back in 1970..
I guess this guy feels high up in life because he gets all the attention he wants. Obviously this car is just for the track because street wise you couldnt handle it. Unless you the weight holdin this thing down or the right tires to hook up, this guys gonna run on the track and bring three wheels off the ground.
you would think the blowers would make it as aerodynamic as a brick
Now that's a Detroit roll.
NICE Sound^^
any one thats seen a pro mod with a suppercharger would know that they idle like that. i think it sounds cool as shit.
Animal, Love it.............
This is why America rules the world.
You just proved my point.
''kinda like paddle shifter's''
aww man this generation is astonishing
yeah ive seen this car in person too
he runs it at the track i go to
And again the algorithm blessed me after 17 years
badass goat
That's a beautiful GTO, but I'd prefer the stock, factory, stealth sleeper look with an original beefy Ram Air IV engine under the hood.
im not really a supercharger guy, but is that really efficient? or just something out of the box that amazes car enthusiasts?
truly epic
there isn't a small block on this planet that you could pump 1600 horse out of with just an F3
274 rice driver was here!
that is fucking amazing
Grandma could you get some milk at the store? Use my GTO
if superman drove cars this would be his daily driver LOL
The oxygen that makes it to the combustion chambers have to be pretty hot, compressed 3 times before ignition
mammyyyy i wanna go home!!!!!!!!!
@grinderboy22 i'm almost positive that is the cam causing it rev like that plus it takes alot to turn all that
that is insane dude, the shit is alive lol
EPIC WIN
blower is taller than GOD
:)
I bet that that GTO is like a 5 second car! That is if he car keep those tires on it!
that is just FUGGIN INSANE 2 supercharges lol
curiosity question, why not twin turbo it, like garret GT30R for left bank and another GT30R for right bank's 4cylinder? then run 1 supercharger to cool the air down, you would probably get 2000hp easy out of the configuration, it would be injected as well, much much more reliable as well, any vids on it running down the 1/4

@ffx95 he does nascar with that. dont need to worry about right turns.
That injector hat looks fkn tiny sitting on them twin chargers...
most importantly though
1/4 mile time:
0-60 time:
@xtreme01hac10docter More than likely so. It would depend on how many CFM the intake manifold is rated at.
would look better with one blower IMO, the parasetic loss on that thing must be more than the motor makes.....
that's a nice car man. my ride isn't too special. '99 ford ranger 4 banger. stick shift though, that's why i want it. i really want to learn so when i have money for a real car and i can drive it the way its meant to be driven.

yes. more of looks. you can get just about the same power without 2 superchargers

Last time I checked, real muscle cars didn't need blowers, turbos, and NOS. Real Muscle cars used real engines, this is a disgrace
Twin Turbo meet Twin Supercharger.
Its just to be different, he knows its not the fastest or most efficient, he just wanted to try something different.
@MrBEB123 That weight transfer your talking about only happens if you have traction. In snow there is much less traction, so that road gripping weight transfer doesn't happen. Failed experiment? well it sounds good. il give it that.
i bet it wins all the races
where are the videos of this car going down the track? I would love to see other than it getting loaded on a trailer.
only in usa,,america, america, the land of the free,,and the home of thaa...blooweerrrr ! praise the LOWERED ! man is this thing even street legal !!??
I love that car! How fast can it go?
talked to the owner at a car show. is it able to be ran at full throttle? said you could only do half throttle to keep the bottom end in the engine. hope she is running well and would love to see that car run at the pontiac day at Atco Raceway
@grinderboy22 I hear you bro, I hate people who have to critisize peoples great vehicle work. Thats to hard to believe with many years of racecar work. Just amizing, and well said on the side haha.
@mageac
You're probably right.
Although if he ran two blowers in parralel with two intakes, that problem could be alleviated.
@gtaspecialist900 nah 4wd is the best for snow! FWD is better in snow then RWD, but RWD is the most fun in the snow
It doesn't make it street legal. It just means there are plates on it still. Just the decibel level of the engine alone makes it illegal. At least here in Texas it would be illegal. When you have an older car that makes real power you'll quickly find the glides and turbo 350/400s are much tougher and can handle the power and tq without being comprimised
@firechicken76 Agreed. If he wanted big power he could have gotten the same, and probably more torque, out of a 1471 instead of two 671's.
i'ma tell you why dragsters don't need blowers, they have huge turboes, and run on fuel mixed with liquid explosives (nitroglycerin) :)
He's not going to be racing with no straps on the blowers.. not on a reputable track, anyway..
its a drag car not a show car or else it wouldnt have superchargers at all or those fat back tires
The gas mileage is probably a lot better than you'd think if he doesn't get into it. More hp and torque at lower rpms means less work with the throttle pedal.

WTF! this is new to me i must say.

hmmm....how is it possible to drive with it?? you can´t even see the street...
now THIS is an orgasm to my eyes. Beautiful GTO with dual superchargers. Im only thirteen might I add. You know a car is sick when thirteen year olds are shitin themselfs
WHY DOES EVERYBODY ON THE INTERNET HAVE TO HATE ON SHIT
Very fascinating to have a double supercharger w nitrous. Gatta love when people just have to be different! Magnificent machine, and the whine is SICK!!!
Not a bad looking car. Sad thing is it would bring about 1/2 the money of a really nice numbers matching car that had 1/2 the investment in a resto.
a supercharger is a small displacement belt driven compressor, a blower is a high displacement compressor. just my opinion, but thats to much.
u guys havnt seen the 850 horse civics then? lol i hate civics but have seen some n/a 10sec civics on the street walk all over zo6 vettes, and some z06's beat stock civics. this gto is so top heavy all its good for is idling in parking lots maybe rev it from time to time.
That's a hell of an engine, I guess the engine alone took 50% of the car weight, right?, just guessing, contradict, but don't be rude.
One of the blower cases is empty. In other words one of them is a dummy that doesnt do anything. And the 1600hp number is WAY to high.
its nice and i respect it loads, but personally i think the whining would get on my nerves yknow?
nice job though, its different :)
